It's funny how much the "but you get 225 gems from the ascension pass for free!!!" argument has actually swayed the discussion towards HiRez's side.
Like regardless of the opinion you hold and whether or not you're against the gem increase prices, the idea that you will ever reasonably see even 50% of those free gems is absurd. I've been playing in S1 since 2016 and I have 23 gods at rank X, as someone who tried to master a lot of them, but also didn't focus too much on a single god. Sure, in 10 years you might have all gods at rank X, but what will most likely happen is that you'll never reach that, and HiRez knows that lmao.
Like I said, regardless of the opinion if the new prices are high or not, this argument is just silly. I think the free gems from the APs are really nice and a sweet thing from HiRez, but that should have no bearing whatsoever in the skin pricepoint discussion.

Simply link the accounts you plan to play SMITE 2 on in the future that you want the skin unlocked on then!

Log in with the platform you are playing SMITE 2 on, then you will have the option to link all the other platforms including Twitch!
I'm confused... so people can just play to hit level 30 against bots and then qualify to play ranked?
There are no ranked requirements in SMITE 2! You can queue up from level 1!

Just got word that the linking issue should now be fixed. Could you give it another go when you get a chance to see if everything is working?
You need to install and play "Smite 2" and not "Smite 2 - Public Test"
Idk if it's intended but winning in arena grants you no extra worshippers
I'd only linked my account to Smite 1 in the past when it first became available. My smite 1 account was linked to Twitch, but until today I'd never tried linking, or progressing a campaign or claiming or anything.

I am having issues linking my twitch account for the streamer rewards.
I am a legacy smite 1 player, I have a linked smite 2 account. Everything is fine. I log into the link.smite2.com site using my steam login. I try to link twitch and get the error:
Error: follower must disable cross progression before this operation
I then tried linking from Twitch to Smite 2 and I think it worked, but the account shows unlinked from the smite 2 side.
Either something is reporting wrong on the link site or there is an underlying bug and I'm not clear if things are working correctly or not.

Guys you need to remember. They need to make money off of this game somehow and with the legacy gems being a thing if they kept the prices proportional to smite 1 they’d be hemorrhaging cash.
I’m not a fan of this change but I definitely understand it. I’m just gonna be way more mindful with what skins I do end up purchasing. 700 god skins on my smite 1 account and I don’t use/haven’t used 60% of them more than twice lesson learned 😂

We currently have the SMITE 2 API under active development, but we're not quite ready to open up requests for public access. We're currently targeting closer to our open beta release early next year to get this process up and running.
