The closest information I can find on this is on how to change data centers here[support.ubisoft.com]. I think this is an odd request, as we have other people on EU servers that haven't needed to ask for this. Are you being asked through an in-game prompt?

When you launch the game from steam it should give you the option of selecting to launch with one of the two?

Are you playing with the DX11 version of the game? Or Vulkan?

No, you won't need to worry about getting banned. However, if you were playing in ranked, you will probably be receiving an MMR rollback to counterbalance any wins you got with a hacker.
