Light tanks can paradrop?????

Thanks in advance

You need the third paratrooper doctrine to unlock air droppable light tank support companies.
My paratrooper template above has that support company in the second slot.

Each module added increases the amount of fuel a tank battalion/support company with that equipment assigned can store. Thus, it adds more hours of operation before refueling is required. That usually translates into distance traveled, but it also involves combat endurance, so dropping light tanks with extra fuel drums gives those paratroopers more time in combat with full use of their tanks before lack of fuel penalties set in (or they are relieved by friendly forces and put into the supply network aga... TheMeInTeam said: paradrop tank is basically just a way to drop armored recon again now that you can't do that anymore, right?

Basically, yes.
TheMeInTeam said: though changes to tank designer made some better light tank designs possible.

This is where the magic happens.
Now, this design is a hybrid meant to be used as both recon on panzers and as an air dropped tank for PARA with enough armor to matter:

My sales of AT guns are pretty bad. The AI usually wants planes and light tanks in 1937....
Oh, I misread. You wrote AAT, not AT. My bad. :D

It must be a bug or a mod or something. My playthrough screen does not do that. It has information on it.

Fulmen said: So enemy paradrops now deorg all friendly troops in the "area" (whatever that means here) of the paradrop?

I haven't watched that video, but I did a livestream last night where I was abusing paratroopers as the Soviets.
The short version:
If you take the correct path in the special forces doctrine, there is a perk that lets PARA drop the ORG of enemy divisions in the state where they are dropped even if they don't land on the same tile as the enemy divisions. It is not supposed to stack, so multiple drops over a 30 day period shouldn't stack multiple ORG penalties. And the ORG penalty is a % of total possible ORG.
This gives PARA some tactical flexibility to support operations involving other units. Whether it's balanced properly or not is an open question, as I need more time to abuse them.
What is not an open question is that there are multiple bonuses in the special forces tree where... Read more

SchwarzKatze said: Does that actually matter? I remember the game completely ignoring them for garrison when the current resistance system first came out

pro.gamer.69 said: yeah, they fixed it an update or two ago

But...
....If you tell HOI4 "Hey, this template only uses Tier 0 infantry kits now" the game will not immediately remove all the tier 1 kits being used by that template in the field/garrisons and swap them for readily available tier 0 kits. It will just stop sending Tier 1 and 2 kits to the divisions over time. So, you want to set this up well ahead of time, or you end up with advanced equipment in your garrison templates you didn't realize was still there.
I've forgotten to do it before and watched my panzer divisions roll into battle with MOT having Tier 0 kits salvaged from Yugoslavia while the CAV garrisons had some Tier 2 kits f... Read more

The perfidious Swedes in my last Soviet game demanded northern Norway. I told them off just like I did with reparations for accidentally bombing their town.
This resulted in Sweden joining Finland in the Continuation War against Uncle Joe, with both the Swedes and the Finns becoming Soviet puppets even before I seized Berlin.
Peace may not be in your future if you aren't careful. :)

I sympathize with you guys, but I have to be honest.
Fewer and standardized aircraft models are you friends. And I don't mean same equipment, but I am talking about mission profiles.
You can't reinforce wings with aircraft that have the different missions that are possible to perform. So, you need to decide from day 1 what missions you want specific aircraft to perform. Then you never deviate from that the entire game. If you are doing some kind of multi-role thing, you just build a single multi-role light plane that has fighter armament, CAS armament, and the option to run naval strike or port strike. If you want separate fighters and CAS (since in MP your enemies will have really good fighters and multi-roles will get trashed), then you make a pure fighter that only does air superiority and intercept, and then you make a CAS with a profile that either allows port strikes or naval strikes (bomb locks or internal bomb bay) but not both. Then you stick... Read more

Kanitatlan said: I'm experiencing a very similar effect. My base war support which was never that great has collapsed down to 2.1% from over 50% without there being any indication of why. That's base support before modifiers, Tagged around a bit and there are no spying effects. Can't be silent nukes as there isn't that sort of damage being repaired.
I'm puzzled too.

Are you running all DLC and no mods? And the non-beta version of the game?
If so, toss a save and let me take a look. I recently did a whole video about messing around with war support, so I'd be really interested in seeing if somehow there are new magical sources of war support reduction.
Not just to help you, but to help me overthrow Hitler more efficiently the next time I do it. :)

I read the title of this thread and said to myself "I'm sure Hitler felt the Allies had too many members, too." :)
But why is Poland a puppet if you are on historical? Did you capitulate them before they joined the Allies?

War support is not a zero sum game. Your war support does not impact enemy war support and vice versa.
I tried looking at your save, but I couldn't open it. Are you using mods? Or what version of the game are you running?   Read more

pro.gamer.69 said: math here might be totally off, since i'm not taking into account already-existing production output modifiers, but -5% stability = -2% factory output, and -25% fighter cost = +33.3% fighter construction. so 33.3 * 90 / 2 = 1498.5 days or about 4 years before the malus overcomes the bonus (for fighter production specifically). given that the lazy math probably overstates the -2% factory output it would seem that the decision is absolutely worth it.

But it’s not just the stability.
There is a one time hit to war support plus an additional hit to war support for 90 days.
Since war support hurts stability if you go lower than a certain threshold, the impact might be more.   Read more

total casualties me 838k them 15.58 million
-so if it is casualties, how are they maintaining their war support?
-I do have a -20% war support malus for casualties despite running the "Exhort Heroism" decision almost constantly.
-About 100k of my casualties came from getting nuked. I'm wondering if the nuke caused the drop. It didn't cause any drop initially. I actually wondered if a nuke would increase or decrease my war support or do nothing to it.
***Enemy Bombing:***
i have a -2.5 malus for bombing but i run the "Bolster Spirits" decision almost nonstop
I'm killing a lot of bombers
