Hi u/Heinngard! Was this in the first few minutes of the first match you played after launch? You should find that your fps stabilizes once everything has finished loading.

Hi u/Aoibhell! This will be fixed in a future update! It should only affect the first match after you launch Fortnite and the following matches should flush you into the started island as you would expect. Sorry about this!

Update v21.50 has arrived, bringing you – Shadow of Phantasm Week!

During Shadow of Phantasm Week, the Suppressed Assault Rifle, Suppressed SMG, Shadow Bomb, and Shield Bubble will be unvaulted! Complete special Quests for XP while using these items. Find the Quests on the Quests page in the “Shadow of Phantasm Week” category!

Capsule Corp continues to send deliveries! The Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) items are still on the Island, just at a lower rate of appearance.

Major Bug Fixes:

• The "Dedicated Button" fire mode option on mobile is now working correctly. Unchecking the option will now automatically hide the dedicated fire button in-game if the context allows it.
  • If the equipped weapon/item doesn't support the currently selected fire mode (for example: a melee weapon can’t autofire), the dedicated fire button will still be displayed.
• Fixed an issue in which the Health and Shield bars would not correspond with the actual value remaining after ...

• With the release of v21.50, there have been some changes...
• Zero Build Arena has vaulted for now.
  • Players have been granted the Zero Build Arena rewards announced in our blog fn.gg/ZBArenaBlog
• Late Game Arena returns at 8 am ET!

• We have fixed a visual bug where Health and Shield values sometimes do not accurately represent what's shown in the UI.

The next Fortnite update is here without a shadow of a doubt. In Fortnite Battle Royale v21.50, let the spirit of Phantasm.

Hey u/pinballmanfan! FPS will cap when the device reaches a certain temperature, or the battery is low. This may be what is causing your phone to lock at 55 FPS.
