Hey Fortnite Community,

Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system. At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite. Along the way there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players. We’ll also closely monitor feedback and make improvements over time.

With the addition of the 11.50 update, Chapter 2 - Season 2 is now expected to launch Thursday, February 20. Everyone to the dance floor!

Drop into #EmoteRoyaleContest on TikTok for a chance to have your best moves immortalized in Fortnite. 

How’s it work? Take a video of yourself breaking into an original dance move, then share your submission on TikTok using the hashtag #EmoteRoyaleContest. The winning dance will become an Emote in Fortnite. The winner will also receive 25,000 V-Bucks and a Fortnite VIP giveaway package.

We hoped you enjoyed the Fortnite Star Wars event on December 14, 2019 and wanted to let you know Fortnite X Star Wars updates continue in-game with Kylo Ren arriving today in the Item Shop. Wearing his reforged helmet inspired by Darth Vader, you can now show everyone your Dark Side in Fortnite. Suit up as the Supreme Leader of the First Order, and for full effect, add his First Order battle cape Back Bling, and for a limited time, wield a lightsaber during matches on the Island. Hey everyone,  We’re here with some further discussions on some of the balance changes that were made in the v11.30 update, along with our thoughts behind them. We’ve been closely monitoring the feedback since the release and we’re happy to inform you that our next update will address some of your concerns.  One of our primary goals was to shift the meta so trap tunnels remain important and do the bulk of the work, but require active player participation to keep them intact and functional. Ultimately, we want to make active gameplay more engaging and fulfilling than passive gameplay; which is why we are introducing these early iterations of a meta shift. Ability damage and health/shield buffs are also a step towards that, but we’ve still got some work to do.
