Geri:

Assault Frigate 5-4-4, 3 Missiles, 2 Turrets

Whatever your goals in New Eden are, this limited-time offer will get you to them faster!

MCT has also made its debut in the New Eden Store (NES)! You can finally trade PLEX for MCT, so if you have PLEX to spend, MCT offers a powerful return on investment for NES customers. Just like the one in the EVE Store, MCT cannot be traded, and may only be used by active Omega accounts.

Head to the EVE Store by 15 November to take advantage of the unmissable MCT saving.

Security Conscious Capsuleers,

As part of the Uprising expansion, we are making some important changes that will largely affect players in Highsec. The goal of these designs is to address the following issues:

  • Griefing of new players and low value targets
  • Risk vs Reward dynamic of Abyssal Deadspace filaments
  • Shortage of legitimate player targets in high security space

To achieve these goals, we’ll be introducing the following new restrictions and limitations:

  • Limit tethering for players with low security status in Highsec
  • Docking restrictions for outlaws in high security space
  • Changing the security settings for Alpha accounts and removing the option to disable safety (“Safety red”)
  • Updated rulesets for Abyssal Deadspace filament activation

Griefing versus Ganking

support 4 820x350

It's important to distinguish between Highsec ganking and griefing. Highsec ganking is a valid and necessary playstyle, where players will 'suicide gank' high value targets and offset the loss of their ships from the loot...

Salutations spacefriends and welcome to another Community Beat.

Its been a hectic couple of weeks since the last Community Beat so without further ado lets jump in and see whats been happening.

Faruzen en Divalone : First Myrmidon Navy Issue Killed

It's not often that an opportunity arises to be the first at something in EVE Online, let alone document that achievement.

On 15th October the Myrmidon Navy Issue ship named 'Spirit of Serthoulde' belonging to Faruzen en Divalone was destroyed. This represents the first loss of a Myrmidon Navy Issue since they were introduced late last month.

At the time of its demise the ship had 15 killmarks in the service of the Gallente Federation. Check out its final moments in this video captured by Luka Zaharin.

Concerned capsuleers,

Last week, scientists who had been monitoring the progress of the Imperial Prototype Stellar Transmuter in the Turnur system raised the alarm that the star would reach a "terminal phase" around 17:00 New Eden Standard Time on 2 November, as covered in this news article and in the most recent episode of The Scope.

Planetary industry workers on Turnur I were evacuated from the planet and capsuleers were warned to proceed with caution upon entering the system, particularly around the projected “terminal phase”.

AbandonedMiningEquipment

As the warning signs escalated, capsuleers across the star cluster watched with concern.

Consequently, the scientists’ fears were well founded and they were right to raise the alarm. At 17:00 New Eden Standard Time on 2 November, the planet closest to Turnur was scorched beyond recognition after being hit with intense radiation and superheated plasma from the star as covered on CCPTV.

Despite the warning and the risks, a large number of capsuleers deliberate...

Hotshot capsuleers,

The Uprising expansion, officially landing 8 November, will unleash 16 new ships into New Eden! These new ships let capsuleers get behind the controls of some powerful new technology.

In recent weeks, pilots across the star cluster have already been collecting blueprints and uncovering new frigates and battlecruisers as part of Empire Frontiers, following the Triglavian Collective’s invasion.

Now, however, eight additional new ships for a total of 16 are due to be made available across New Eden, with each empire producing its own fresh frigate, battlecruiser, destroyer, and dreadnought variant. The result of countless hours of careful work making sure the debuting ships complement the world and balance of EVE, Uprising’s new vessels offer every kind of pilot tempting new options, whether you’re focussed on combat, industry, exploration, enforcement, or carving your own role.

Curious capsuleers,

Over the last several months, the race has been on amongst the empires to be the first to gain access to Stellar Transmuter technology by fighting for control over the Turnur, Egmar, and Vard systems and building upon this coveted technology.

However, concerns grow as the research into the Stellar Transmuters begins to have some unforeseen implications. As covered in the latest episode of the Scope, the Turnur system's star appears to have been destabilized beyond recovery by the activity of the Prototype Stellar Transmuter placed in orbit by the Amarr Empire. Stellar radiation emitted by the star has been fluctuating at ever shorter intervals, seemingly heading towards an imminent crescendo.

Scientists raised the alarm upon calculating that the interval between radiation spikes had been decreasing in a linear manner, indicating that a "terminal phase" would be reached at around 17:00 New Eden Standard Time on 2 November.

One leading theory about what may occur d...

Fantastic capsuleers!

EVE Vegas was this weekend, and with just over 200 official attendants it’s one of the largest player meets in North America. We were happy to attend and share with players a little bit of what we’ve been up to since Fanfest, and what they can expect with the Uprising expansion just around the corner in November.

We’ve been focusing on five pillars of gameplay. Firstly, giving players tools to create stronger organizations. We have also been working with players and the CSM to prioritize dozens of Quality of Life changes for all types of players, some of which you have seen, like changes to the SMA and COSMOS agents.

Next is more forward-looking, specifically what the future of warfare looks like, and creating systems and tools that help you all blow one another up. Enriching player identity through visuals like corporation and alliance emblems on ships has been another focus, allowing you and your friends to proudly display your space flags! Finally, investing in...

Combative capsuleers,

The Uprising expansion – a major new narrative-driven update for EVE Online – is coming in November and brings with it the biggest overhaul to Factional Warfare that New Eden has ever seen. The arrival of Frontlines will be a big change to how the empires' militias compete for control of the warzones on Tranquility.

To encourage participation during the testing period on Singularity and thereby obtain as much valuable feedback as possible on this new feature we are hosting a Frontlines Wargame on the Singularity test server with some cool rewards to be granted on Tranquility for individual capsuleers and player corporations who distinguish themselves!

The wargame will commence at 14:00 UTC on 26 October when Singularity becomes accessible to players after the initial state of the Amarr/Minmatar warzone on Singularity is set up and it will conclude at 14:00 UTC on 4 November when Singularity will be taken offline and analysis of the outcome will begin.

There will a...
