Today marks the roll out of new visual upgrades that enhance the beauty of EVE Online. Now you’ll witness unlimited shadows throughout New Eden. Where shadows used to be limited to 16 in busy scenes - now there are no restrictions, and they’ll look much clearer and sharper. You expect a shadow? You’ll see a shadow.

How the client implements the graphical settings for shadows has also been reworked. Shadows will now always be rendered at all settings other than ‘disabled’, with the filtering of shadows being adjusted to allow a balance between quality and performance. Your entire visual experience will now also be much smoother thanks to new anti-aliasing techniques that smooth edges and improve textures for ships, stations and the landscape across New Eden. It’s that time again! Rally your best fighters, analysts, theory crafters, and spreadsheet enjoyers as the path to the 19th Alliance Tournament is right around the corner. Alliances will once again be sending up to ten of their most versed combatants to fight it out in the arena for glory and epic prizes. They’ll be broadcast to the rest of the cluster with their teams and the EVE community cheering on for their glory and conquest! Experienced casters and commentators will also be back again to help break down the tournament content for viewers and (hopefully) assist with who they would put their channel points on to win even more prizes!

The Caldari State's Shadow War research effort is advancing rapidly and the state has reached a major breakthrough in their understanding and mastery of the Stellar Transmuter technology thanks to the efforts of loyalist capsuleers.

• As a result, Caldari Hacking, Courier and Laboratory sites will now contain a small amount of Stellar Transmuter datacore blueprints and components as loot in addition to the existing Transport Relay datacore loot.

It has come to our attention that through an unintended effect of using Gas Harvesters on ship wrecks, massive quantities of a resource which should be unobtainable through normal gameplay can be generated. Its effects when extracted and used in massive quantities can be felt throughout the entire community. 

We have received reports of these gas clouds appearing in significant quantities in systems where a large number of ships have been destroyed. The resource in question is a form of gas which goes by the name of Fullerite C0-P1UM. Any extraction of this gas or in other words known to capsuleers as “huffing” can lead to the pilots in question becoming easily manipulated and/or extremely gullible. 

While it may seem enticing to inhale, we strongly advise against it. We have seen indicators that pilots who have succumbed to the effects of Fullerite C0-P1UM are showing symptoms of delusional thinking, such as believing that your expensive ship was actually cheap, and easily r...
