It does, I think they dropped it from VT2 to just shave down the title's length as it was a bit silly.
This is it yep, the name was getting preeetty long. We're still sadly* in the End Times.
*as in 'this ends badly' rather than a critique of AoS. I remain staunchly impartial on that. You'll never know.
Read moreThe idea with these is they don't impact gameplay, but add a flavour variable to the maps you run. dusk or rain shouldn't obscure your vision but just set a new tone for a map, or part of.
Hey Hedge! Off topic for this thread, but do you have any idea if we'll see a double XP weekend again anytime soon? I've gotten some new friends into the game thanks to the COVID situation and that would really help players like them who are picking up the game for the first time during the lockdown.
I'll speak with the powers, maybe we can schedule one for Season 3 :)
Because the whole reason they introduced payed cosmetics was so they could create content like this for free right? Also locking content like this behind money in any game is bad, but in a game that is as stagnant and stale as vermintide is honestly just a poor move.
What we're trying to avoid is shipping paid content that splits players (see WOM). Choosing to use the Grail Knight doesn't restrict you from any lobbies or others from your lobby (unless they happen to be playing the Knight as well, as it works with Vanilla careers as well). These kinds of DLC will hopefully allow us to continue providing free content that would otherwise split the player base if paid for.
This is vermintide 1 right? looks like (from a very high level) the game is trying to launch on a very incompatible GPU (onboard most likely)
edit: Yep, your machine doesn't look like it has the guts to run Vermintide I'm afraid. The Intel(R) HD Graphics only supports DX10, whilst DX11 is a requirement. The CPU would also struggle with the game - the Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B960 @ 2.20GHz just doesn't have the legs, sadly.

- OS: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8/8.1 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit*
- Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q9500 @ 2.83GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770 /w 1GB VRAM
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 30 GB available space
- Additional Notes: *WARNING: 32-bit OS is NOT officially supported at this time
That's too bad. I will then try to contact the devs, if they could provide me the file. Thank you for your answer :)
Best I can doooo
Yeah, for some reason (programmer probably forgot) rapier's push attack doesn't have a programmed window where you can swap weapons, like pretty much every other attack does.
So either you have to wait 1.3 seconds (got the numbers from the game's code) for the whole action to finish, or you have to interrupt the action with something else, like a block or an attack (can be done after 0.35 seconds) or a pistol shot (0.4 seconds).
Alternately, we can hope that they add something like this to
light_attack_bopp
'sallowed_chain_actions
in the rapier's code, which would let you quickswap properly after the attack:{ sub_action = "default", start_time = 0.4, action = "action_wield", input = "action_wield" }
(Psst, /u/fatshark_hedge, your beard is luscious and your jawline chiseled. Could you pass this on to someone in programming, please?)
It is done
Sounds like this could have been the Steam maintenance window?
You could use something like WinDirStat to get an indication of things taking up chunks of space. It could be a partial download or something. Steam also allocates a bunch more space than the final installation size of a game, since it needs to unpack it.
Steam is imploding - perhaps Dota related. They're on the case.
Hey! sorry again. This week was a bank holiday on the Thursday withy a lot of people taking a Squeeze Day on the Friday. It makes for getting develoepr updates on the Friday a bit tricker. We've not stopped with them, just been a couple of short weeks with other priorities on the "on days".
I assume they're still getting it ready. I kind of expect a delay. I'm scared to delete my save too, as irrational as that may be. It can't hurt to just sit tight and wait. I don't want to miss any shilling opportunities though. The saves are stored on their servers though. It's similar to something like the Division.
The patch is out now
I don't even remember the line in question but that's the flimsiest excuse I think I've ever heard. Kerillian and Sienna sound nothing alike.
First I've heard of it!
Thank you for this, I've been hyped for this update so I'm glad I can check it out!
To reiterate; This only works for online play. Doing this workaround WILL REMOVE YOUR OFFLINE SAVE. We are working to resolve this without the need to delete the local save, so please hold tight if you wish to keep offline progression intact.
Sigmar bless this shitpost
This is without a doubt a great, great shitpost. Probably one of my favourites.
Sadly the crash you have has a veritable shed load of reasons, and isn't particularly indicative of which reason just from the surface. We've got a comprehensive list of things that have worked in the past at the above link. I would pay special attention to the Worker Thread advice (I see you're on a Ryzen) as well as potentially overclocks as well, but do try to run through a lot of the steps if you dont find success with those two mentioned.
Read moreThanks a lot, Hedge! Without going into detail, are those pieces new hats and such or also something bigger?
There's some of that, but some bigger bits in the works also.
Just been a very busy week this week I'm afraid, we've not had time to put one together.
Consoles: are in submission, but it's looking like the releases for PS4 and Xbox (the Drachenfels and Emporium update) will be staggered (i.e wont be at the same time as each other). If this is the case then we will ship whichever platform is ready and approved first.
Versus: no news at this time, we're still working away on it. As per previous statements, we probably announced it a bit too soon.
Future content - we'll have some more on that when we can. We have a fair few bits and pieces in the works and will confirm those once we're more confident with the state of them and the potential release window (see point 2 for why that might be). Some of them wont be a surprise (we've talked about them in the past) and some will be (we've not talked about them at all), but until we can talk about them we can't talk about them.
