I am very glad to hear that you guys are trying to find ways to experiment with reducing queue times for all roles.

Also any thoughts on if there is any effort to minimize the impact of leavers in role queue modes? (I have a huge thread I just posted on this earlier today, but might as well ask here).

I have been trying this out in a custom game the last couple of nights. It is crazy fun! Been doing some crazy plays against the bots with it.

I passed the word onto Blizzard to check with the Overwatch community team to verify this patch note.

Can we expect other changes to other heroes like Mei, Hanzo, Doomfist? I know these heroes are most commonly talked about here on the forums. Baptiste too but Jeff Kaplan addressed him yesterday. I’m looking very forward to the next patch.

The Role Queue Beta season has ended and Season 18 did start but due to reported issues of players getting placed in severely different SRs than normal, they disabled Competitive to investigate.

Scott, can you 100% clarify if the accumulated matchmaking rating from Role Queue Beta will be or not be passed over to season 18? I have been going off of the news blog post that all stats from the beta will not count, but the community is still concerned about this aspect.

I obviously don’t know how they will be calibrating the overall ladder, but for Overwatch, the win/loss ratio of each player generally contributes to their skill rating (its more complicated than that, but that is the key factor). What I am getting at is how whey look at the overall performance of the community and hopefully will be able to spread out the rank bubble a bit.
