I enjoy and greatly appreciate constructive feedback. It's how we keep improving on things.
HOWEVER, since some people can't give feedback without breaking the Code of Conduct, from now on please send your feedback on the forum rework in a direct message to me. If you have posted it already, no need to DM it, I have seen it. There is zero reason to hurl insults at fellow forum members or developers, EVER.
... aaaaaaaaaaaaaand just like that he deleted his account. The world simply wasn't ready for us and our clock SeriousPaul. I, for one, will never forget.*salute*

(for what it's worth, I did pass along the clock suggestion to devs)
@Volkbrecht#63244:@WotC_Lexie: Well, it's called a job. If it would be fun, you wouldn't get payed to do it ;)My job is fun. Lots of jobs are fun. They become less fun when people go out of their way to make them less fun, so let's just not do that.
I absolutely love my job, and it is a ton of fun! It is even more fun when people are nice and follow the rules. :slightly_smiling_face:
@WotC_Lexie:@SeriousPaul#78974:Why? I mean I am not trying to be defiant, but I have a goal and no one is required to post or read my threads. As such I fail to see how it would violate any ToS. If it does, let me know so I can A. Stop posting, and B find some place else to take my free time and business to.Since I'll never give up, this will indeed be along thread. I especially will not give up because of childish insults, or because someone makes an offhand snarky remark online. As such each day I will post until they see that this is a good idea. That's not cool, friend. Please don't do that.
I am required to read your posts. Spamming through repeated posts/flooding forums is against our Code of Conduct.

After a lot of very welcome changes, this feels kinda out of place.
How does doubling the cost of Historic cards help... with anything? Could this be explained further? Did I even read it right?
Out of my head I can't think of any argument on this change helping to build up a good non-rotating format.
This is one odd thing within a lot of good ideas, as I see it. But it confuses me nontheless
Will historic exclude all cards from standard?
Nope! Standard cards are legal in Historic.

Again, as with any change to the economy, we’ll be monitoring both player behavior in-game and player feedback. If a card is reprinted into a Standard set you will only pay one Wildcard for that version and it can be used in Historic (only the old version costs 2).

MTG Arena’s economy is built with Standard and Draft at the forefront. We found that this was the best solution for the long-term health of the game. As with any change to the economy, we’ll be monitoring both player behavior in-game and player feedback.
Read moreHey, why was the Forum Rework thread closed? Some folks had posted some good feedback, and some bugs there.
There's no longer a Feedback subforum, so I guess it all goes in General Discussion?
Yes, I closed it, because I can only make so many requests at once. :slightly_smiling_face:
Uhm... So, only "General Discussion" and "Strategy"? No other sub-forums?
Nope, not currently! The boards that were rarely used were removed, and we now have different processes for bug reporting and feedback. If a need for more boards arises, we can always add them back. :slightly_smiling_face:
Nice work, this is very cool. I do have one suggestion, I can’t tell what page I’m on when I click a thread. The page numbers are at the top but none of them are highlighted. They used to be and that was nice.
I am SO glad you pointed this out. Putting in the request now!
Sounds like it's time for you to get a watch
What about Deck building board? do we also post deck building in strategy board?
Yep! That is strategy.
Hmm. I still think a heavily moderated feedback subforum would be helpful if you listed exactly what belongs there and what doesn't. Unless you can sticky threads. IN which case stickying the first relevant thread about an ongoing event would be helpful.
We will be stickying relevant things, as usual. :slightly_smiling_face:
What is the adress to the new forums? Does anyone have a link perhaps? I guess the community will be split on 2 forums but thats ok i guess.
No new URL, this is still our forum! It was just a rework of the existing setup.
@WotC_Lexie:@Kimmaz#98101:In what time zone is it tomorrow? How many days will the website be down while they work? I see a few categories like deck building currently gone from the forums already . I guess they are taken down while they are updated one sub forum at the time. What is the adress to the new forums? Does anyone have a link perhaps? The rework is basically finished! Just need to move around a few things. It happened at 9am PT this morning, no downtime.

Do we lose all the threads in deleted parts of the forums? There were a couple of active ones in draft/sealed that would be nice to continue.
You can access them by direct link, but can no longer interact with them. This is what the strategy board is now for!
