Experts often have more wrong ideas about their field than normal people. It's because they need to justify their job, so they can't just give the obvious answers that everyone knows. They need hard-to-understand ideas, and nothing is harder to understand than nonsense.
This issue arises with ethicists, art critics, sociologists about society, literature professors, food critics, psychologists, fashion experts, historians, and so on.
This happens in fields where the experts don't produce results which are obviously objectively better or worse. Academics, moralists, and fashion - not engineers or commercial media makers or pianists.
This is a problem with accepting the judgment of any group of experts. They have an inherent conflict of interest. A thoughful outsider may have less detailed knowledge, but also may be more directly seeking the truth - and that can matter more.

We considered it! It would be bugged if we didn't do some tweaks to make this work cleanly, I think.

We could possibly make the situation a bit more explicit though.

Rimworld does not save log files indefinitely, but every once in a while mods or game bugs out and log file keeps growing. Generally you don't need to worry about it.

The game has protection to prevent oversized log files. Mods have to circumvent the protection to produce logs this size.

One way Ludeon attracts capable game creators is by making a game that's really fing cool to work on. Super interesting and open-ended game systems, very high ratio of creative output to dev effort.

Are you running on Steam or are you running the DRM-free download? If you're comfortable with it, it would be best to register all your products on Steam via rimworldgame.com/getmygame - then, just install and play on Steam as usual.

Sometimes Steam breaks files and fails to fix them even on verify. In these cases you need to go into the actual file explorer and delete all the game files and files for all expansions to force it to re-download everything.
