It could sound like it's super "fast" to get to this result.But this is not always like this. Many many time, I fail drawings, even after years and years of practise, and it's a natural thing for many artists. We often show the things we are the most proud of, and hide the worst.

Also, the last 10% to finish a piece and make it "perfect" are for me the most terrible. This is were you need to decide if you should stop, or continue investing time. And it's the last 10% that takes the longest. I could spend another 20 hours on it without it to look final.

Also..."Speed" shouldn't be a goal for any artist. It's nice to be able to concept things quickly, but it's also OK to take hours or days of practise to study something and go deep in a topic to understand and learn. Speedpaint is fun, but it shouldn't be aimed for at any cost.

Here, a "result versus time spent" comparision ...There's no shame showing how "rough" a drawing starts. It was really not looking glorious in the start, but there was still something I liked in the colors and composition. @NasirSlacky You can sometimes use quads ( planes) and leave 0% opacity areas to create clumps of hairs, and simulate geometry. You can also take a look at 3D hand painted traditional techniques, at Riot or Blizzard, to get some inspiration on how to render fur. It's not easy!
