There is already an active thread that has been regularly posted in for almost a year now. It rarely leaves the first page of posts if you aren't using Steam's dumb listing of 15 posts, and almost never leaves the first page if you use something more reasonable.
When you posted this thread, the topic was literally the fourth thread down the list that wasn't a Pinned thread.
Try putting more effort into looking around and doing some research and reading before you start a thread and clutter the forum with duplicates.
$44.99 is way too much for this. Even in a 1.0 state. Read more

wasnt this PROMISED on release when it exits alpha?
Yep. Promised after the game is finished. Game isn't finished yet. Still in Alpha too, but just left EA.
Originally posted by IvGotBallsOfSteel: Just use msi afterburner, then you can set it to what you like or set it so it toggles on a hotkey, 72fps or uncapped like mine for example
No one should be using MSI Afterburner. The developer quit half a decade ago, it isn't supported at all anymore, and it is well known to cause crashes.

Here is the Alpha 17 Developer Diary. Go find where they stated an exact date for release, or that bandits were for sure going to be in Alpha 17.

well i wont find it now, because its been 8 years, and in that time you had time to edit and delete everything to cover yourselves, every person here is aware of your behavior
Then use the Wayback machine. The developer has never shown the kind of behavior you imply. It's just people making false claims that state that. Read more

For me it was Alpha 17 would have bandits

When they say "We are aiming for", or "if all goes as planned", that is an estimate and not a promised date.
So again. Provide evidence of them actually violating that by making a direct promise, and missing it.

2. Do not make specific promises about future events. For example, there is no way you can know exactly when the game will be finished, that the game will be finished, or that planned future additions will definitely happen. Do not ask your customers to bet on the future of your game. Customers should be buying your game based on its current state, not on promises of a future that may or may not be realized.
they literally broke this rule every single update they did

Bandits were never advertised as being planned for Alpha 17. They only previewed some art for probably outfits the bandits would have.
They have been known in development since Alpha 14, but the only time they ever focused on having bandits for release was for a21, but the AI was nowhere near ready so it was set aside for later. Even then it wasn't promoted that they would be included in the update.

There are currently barely any survival aspects to the game at all and the game takes almost no effort to play.
Correct. But back then you didn't even have to worry about the most basic things like food and water. Loot was overabundant. Mechanics were simplistic. And you could basically achieve end-game before the second bloodmoon and rule the world. The only challenges that truly existed were running into bugs like having to dig your motorbike out of the side of the hill it teleported into while you were driving next to it.
Which is what most of the complainers want. Easy gameplay without restrictions or limits. They want to play the game in a way that it was never intended to be developed for, and instead enjoy incomplete versions with temporary mechanics that were never in... Read more

Some of us have been playing the game for over a decade now.

This sounds like a feature in a mod. Definitely not a Vanilla game system with that tent.
If you use CPM, you would set an openhours claim or something similar.
There are other server tools that have similar features. Should check them out.

Yep. I used to use Empyrion as a perfect example of what not to do, because they were one of the first developers to do this. Now everyone apparently is doing it.
Originally posted by Xantanash: Steam has implemented a thing where if an Early Access game does not update its game for X amount of time, steam tells you. So you don't buy an abandoned EA title.
Now I know 7 days is out of EA, but it creates a precedent for EA titles to be able to just post empty updates news so they don't get flagged as such.
I've never seen an empty update news in the past, but that might just be me.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, have you guys seen this before?
I also want to make it clear to mods that this is not a post whining about delays, it's a genuine precedent-creating concern.
Fun fact.
The developers "left EA" with the 1.0 release, but still have not finished the game. (Something that has become pretty common with EA titles lately.)
I am curious what the criteria is that you think has been violated. Since TFP just pushed an update yesterday, and the last update before that was February 12th. So literally one day short of two months. The update before t... Read more

It's like Groundhog Day. I go down my tower, there they are, same as like 15 minutes before that. It's nothing but ******* boring and repetitive. They are a ******* nuisance.
It is not likely that the Consoles will ever see mods.
Not only because of the severe restrictions imposed by Sony and Microsoft, but also because the hardware metric for consoles is the pathetic Series-S, which does not even meet minimum hardware specs for the game. Read more
Originally posted by william_es: Not buying this excuse anymore. I'm playing the "Rebirth" overhaul, and they have MASSIVE roaming packs of zombies. Easily 80 plus zombies, all strung out in a big conga line. Ferals at the front running full tilt, with slower ones in the back.
And rebirth also has other events that cause a mini-horde to appear. You get about 2 seconds, and they're coming at you. Bosses, sub-bosses, and a pack of minions. Kind of like a blood moon, but they don't continuously respawn. I had 2 event hordes overlap (I was mopping up the last 20% of the first one), and then a wandering horde showed up. No issues with performance.
It isn't wrong. TFP is still leaning on their vague hardware specs, and trying to continue to support chipsets over a decade old. If they would knock that the ♥♥♥♥ off, and list some real hardware requirements, then the Vanilla game could probably do a lot better.
Though optimization and the nature of the game have played their pa... Read more
