LETS GO G2!!!

Honestly, no matter what happens tomorrow it's been an insane year for G2, EU and the LEC. Seeing everyone rally behind G2, no matter the country, the league or the team is amazing. Let's hope they bring the title back and complete the grand slam.

They seriously not sending vedius (the current longest serving eu color caster) to the world finals in Europe with an eu team in the finals.

Edit: quickshot confirmed below that vedius will be on broadcast along with himself, frosk, sjokz, dash, jatt, Kobe, deficio and papasmithy so finals is stacked.

I haven't seen the full episode yet, but I just wanted to clarify that Vedius is attending the world final and will be on broadcast. Along with myself, Sjokz and Frosk from the LEC. Completing the team of course is Dash, Kobe, Jatt, Papasmithy and Deficio.

Edit the reason EU talent aren't in Paris yet, mostly, is the broadcast team live in Berlin where the semi finals were broadcast from. As such Berlin based crew stay home until they are needed in Paris for the differing projects and finals of course

Are you trying to kill people? No human should be able to drink this much... It's a drinking power spike if ever I've seen one. You'll get deleted.

Hope you enjoyed the hype and fun, by design held something back during game 1 to show the true scale when the drama hit.

We obviously could spend hours judging every call, that's not the best choice for a live broadcast product when there is so much fun to enjoy.

GIVE ME FIVE GAMES

This is me right now

Would love to know what specifically. Interested to know.

/u/RiotQuickshot help us get the camera man on reddit so we can give our condolences

F

The camera guy is our steady cam operator named Olli and he was only minorly injured, but his rig got heavily beaten up :(

Luckily nothing serious.

Jatt

Obviously a joke, lol. G2 is stacked tho.

A JOKE? ABOUT THE MSI CHAMPION? HOW DARE YOU?

Dammnit if I don't get hyped for worlds every year!

Wait you are staying on the LEC team right? You're my favorite LEC caster. My favorite casting combo will always be Quickshot and Deficio

Absolutely yes! I've answered this question a few times in recent weeks, but I fully intend to keep casting for as long as I can! I am however looking at the future and I wanna be a father, and I enjoy being a manager. So at some point in the next 2/3/4/5 years or whatever, I might stop. But it isn't soon.

Love you man.

I remember when you used to get flamed by the community back in the day, I'm so glad people recognize how much you bring to a broadcast now.

Congrats to you and the whole LEC team for 2019.

We have all come such a long way since this journey started. I've grown up a lot and so happy to be part of this incredible community. I'm also so happy with the growth of the EU team. Every single department has gotten better year on year and this is our strongest yet.

I think Quickshot said on Twitter earlier that he was ill but was going to power though it anyways so that might be the reason.

It's never an excuse to be sick, but it provides some context. It's also just a really hard weekend. The RQ is always challenging, it's a long busy year or non stop sprints, live shows and travel. This weekend was especially hard as Athens was so epic, filled with challenges, and one of the furthest locations we have ever hosted a final in. So it all adds up. The team has a short break now before we dive into Worlds prep and planning. Luckily different teams, different casters and different environment makes it more fresh and energetic!

I have to be honest the cast was not great. Both, especially QuickShot, seemed to not be focused

You're 100% right and it's justified. I was not on my game today, and still a little bit sick (Not sure if you could hear it in my voice) the other problem was the games weren't super compelling either. It was a really tough day, and I'm not super happy with the overall quality of my casting. It's been a long year, and the fatigue caught up with me. Sorry about that.

I can confirm. <3

The segment about their early relationship was so interesting. It really shows how much both have grown as people that they now can talk about it.

Also, it's really crazy for me to see how much Quickshot pushes people around him to be better and to have chances to prove themselves. That he "forced" Medic and Drakos to cast Athens instead of himself is really mind blowing to me. He truly is not only a caster, but also a manager. He could go the easy way, cast it himself and not take responsibility for other casters, but he deliberately chose to not do so. It's really inspiring to see that.

Same with Sjokz - going freelance and leaving behind a hole in the team that need to be filled takes courage, because it can feel terrible to see that you were easily replaced. That she has the strength and confidence to say that she knows her value and doesn't need to worry about getting replaced permanently is just as mind blowing to me.

It's so good to see that two people I love so much for their work can be such strong human beings and role models (even though I'm older ... weird though).

Thanks for this great content.

Something that's super important to clarify, while yes, I'm pushing people to take roles (even when it's one I could do) they have to have earned it. Drakos, Medic and I have grown so much over the years we have worked together and over the last 18 months Drakos and Medic are fantastic at their jobs and even better colleagues. If they weren't able to do the job, I wouldn't be able to make the call.

I'm so bummed I didn't believe he was able to do it. I really thought he was just goint to get killed, and then didn't ramp up the hype early enough.

INSANE play from Caps for sure.

"The biggest loser is Schalke"

I did not expect that line to have the impact that it did, but I'm really glad that I said it. Let's see if S04 can prove me wrong :P

This was sad from any perspective

9k gold lead at 13 min is just ... mean

11780 the highest in EU history. The game also clocked in as the second fastest in EU history.

What a fantastic performance from Rogue. I'm still so surprised at this teams growth considering their experience. Even more so, I'm impressed with Woolite, I've personally called him out being caught out many, many times in the past and I'm stoked to see him showing up in recent weeks.
