Wasn't there and guy that wrote a script to archive them? Not ideal but better than nothing..

Might be referring to this archive. It's comprehensive as far as I can tell.

There is a community made forum probably more in the style of what those here are looking for, built by those that used to volunteer for the Boards. Check it out.

I think what's happening is the school keeps updating the firewall so riot thinks were trying to ddos. That's what my teacher said anyways.

I support the high school initiative in OCE (Learn with League) and have helped some with this issue before. Either we're suspicious of the IP due to multiple logins or your school's firewall policy is actually preventing access.

If you contact player support they should be able to investigate and sort it out if it's on our end. If they can't determine if you're being blocked by us or your school, dm me with your ticket number and I'll chase it up.

I only just noticed last patch that my ranked stats tab was gone. Now I know why i guess

I looked into this. The Stats tab was disabled because browsing to it caused issues with every other part of the client. As far as I can see, a fix is due for patch 10.5 but since I've learned to never promise anything, ever, at all: it's possible it won't be a complete fix and it might end up coming in a later patch entirely.

In a partnered study lasting approximately 8 years and backed by $20 million in federal funding, leading scientists managed to chronologically place the invention of cheating somewhere between 3.5 billion BCE and November 20th, 1985. While its precise origin remains indeterminate, one reality has become accepted as established fact: Cheaters gonna cheat.

Haha. This one is funny.

Anticheat team have the best banter.

It's a solid message, one that some of us just need to be nudged with from time to time.

If you feel like you or someone you care about needs help maintaining balance in their life, I encourage you to read and share the resources that were made in collaboration with mental health orgs headspace and Le Va down here in OCE.

Help people be informed of what they can do to improve their physical and mental health, and help them feel empowered to take small steps in getting there. Also, congratulate yourself or others for taking a bunch of small steps over time. It is better than demanding yourself or others make drastic changes and then being too scared of failure to take a step at all. At least, I've found myself and others to be more responsive to this approach of encouragement.

That's so unfair. EVERYONE who does something will be criticized by SOMEONE. It's your own fault for only looking at the negative responses and blatantly ignoring the positive. What you're demanding is for NO ONE to EVER say a SINGLE bad thing about ANYONE ever and that's just obscene.

It is not unfair for creators to ask not to be abused online.

It is unfair to demand that creators listen to and engage with their audience while taking their abuse in stride.

There's a clear distinction between genuinely constructive feedback (even if it comes from a place of passion) and vitriolic abuse. This should not be a radical or crazy idea.

I was indeed referring to the big five personality model. And yeah, there is no shame in admitting that social media does not mesh well with who you are as a person. It should not be considered a personal flaw on the side of the person but neither should it be considered a flaw of social media and I see both of those sentiments expressed far too often.

I do want to add though that while it's rare that people can't be taught strategies to overcome their specific struggles, I also think what we are seeing is that the people being more connected than ever through social media and that it isn't necessarily a good thing. I don't think it's a good idea that now the people creating products essentially now need to be taught the toolkit that previously was taught to the people interfacing with the public, I would much prefer it if everyone was expected to specialize in a few select areas instead of everyone becoming generalists.

I believe that companies works better if the designers of their products have no contact with customers but instead receive feedback through a curated process from a separate team whose job it is to take in whatever information their customers will give them (either positive or negative but in most cases it will be overwhelmingly negative) and filter out the useful bits from the noise.

What Riot and many other entertainment companies seems to be doing is essentially just double the workload of the department leads by expecting them to be on social media and interact with customers on their forums.

Riot isn't most companies, let's keep it that way.

I can certainly appreciate the argument you make. It sounds good in theory.

But Rioters directly engaging with players about their area of expertise or the thing they're making is magical. We shouldn't want a world where the only Rioters who speak to players are community moderators. Despite what some people say about us, Rioters hate the thought of engagement strictly for PR management. It's gross and disingenuous.

I've worked in a place like that. Requiring process or not being able to engage customers to learn more about their feedback was frustrating. Passion for listening and engaging is one of the reasons I came to Riot and undoubtedly why others see Riot as a place they can create awesome things for fellow players.

Rioters should want to feel what players are feeling. We want to share in their pain and it doesn't always come through pre-processed. But sharing in pain is not the same as being their punching bag for abuse.

I don't really have an opinion on the skin, all I'll say is that I don't expect nor want people to censor themselves and their opinions/feelings on a skin just because this former rioter wasn't able to handle the criticism. If people don't like something the people who made those things should know. If those people can't handle it and choose to take it personally then they're working in the wrong industry.

That's what makes riot sapmagic the best rioter of all time. Dude worked so hard on the positional ranked system and everyone hated it. He listened to feedback and made changes and everyone still hated it. So he pulled it back and scrapped all his work. Didn't take it personal, just understood that he was wrong and moved on.

Before today I didn't know who this stellari person was but they made decisions and the decisions were not popular. Tough. On to the next project. Learn from sapmagic rioters.

Saying people need thicker skin is just asking for them to care less about what people have to say. If we were to care less about what players think and feel, why waste time engaging in the first place?

I guarantee even digitally stone-faced Rioters feel burned out after sorting the character attacks from the useful, thoughtful feedback. Feeling nothing is not the norm.

We could gather sufficient feedback on products through surveys and player labs. We don't need to talk to communities online to be able to do our jobs.

Rioters choose to do so because it feels like the right thing to do. It helps players feel listened to, it helps them feel that we give a shit, and every now and then you get a gem of feedback that we've actually not heard or thought of already that levels up a product.

We care about how players feel, that's our curse. But we're people too and for some Rioters who literally break themselves for the community it's hard to feel like no one cares about how you feel too...

I knew Stellari was leaving, I had no idea why. It's fucking heartbreaking, the shit these people get sent knowing how much they actually care about players. I mean holy shit.

Stellari's last message rings true for most people in this position:

"Passionate people care. It's hard to put everything into something and not care, so most devs just stay off reddit/twitter because otherwise it's just demoralizing. I wasn't paid to talk to the community, I wanted just to. I'll never apologize for being hurt by the thing I love"

I'm not saying there aren't other ways to process things like this, other opinions that could be considered. I am saying that we shouldn't treat this as a non-issue. Creators who engage online deserve better.

Can somebody explain why the execute triggers on Yi here? I cant figure out how I died there.

https://imgur.com/a/LTyaTBK

Edit: I found the issue. Execute triggering or not is determined by PRE MITIGATION DAMAGE instead of actual damage.

I asked around about this, and you are correct. This bug was found recently and just got micropatched. Thanks to everyone who reported this in any case!

Edit: Looks like a fellow Rioter already mentioned this in the top thread.

A friend and I were going through champs and there were a couple other we found, I remembered Quesadilla wasnt showing up under assassins, but there were a few others. I cant check right now due to commuting back from a vacation but I'll gladly fill you in Tuesday/Wednesday

That's odd, because Quokka shows up under assassin just fine for me on OCE. As far as I can tell the tags are set correctly, maybe it was an issue on release.

Well that's just bloody unacceptable. Turns out the "tank" tag wasn't set correctly.

I've fixed this in OCE and will let the store team know about this, it'll be up to them to fix it for other regions.

Jacob_Kemp

More like intentionally going down to prevent addicts from seeing how much they actually spend on their game.

Rather, I'd assume that the page is actually under construction, if we wanted it gone it would just be gone.

You can still send in a ticket to see how much you've spent overall. Blitzcrank Bot has been answering these tickets since January.

We're almost 10 years on and we're still seeing new stuff coming from some of the oldest champions that exist. Well done.

TehRudeSandstrm

Aw I'm on NA. I feel like so many of the art competitions are featured in OCE but no where else, I guess I just need to look more into it

Ah, these contests on OCE are limited to OCE players only.

I don't believe NA has community contests like this, I can't imagine the scale of the number of entries they'd need to support :S

A minor blessing of OCE being a small region.

TehRudeSandstrm

I guess I need to pay more attention, I never see when these competitions happen, I wish they were on the front page of the client for a bit.

Not sure if you're from the OCE server, but this competition did feature as one of the main tiles on the front page of the OCE client for a few weeks. We also post these competitions to the front page of oce.leagueoflegends.com, the OCE Boards, and the League Friends mobile app.

There will be another contest announced later in June (if plans hold up!)

The winners from this event's contest were too good to not share here. These artworks deserve to be seen!

First place with a beautifully drawn short comic: https://i.imgur.com/tliwaRv.jpg

Second place is an awe-inspiring Battle Academia Shyvana concept: https://i.imgur.com/QMaqjYk.jpg

Third place is a Battle Academia Ahri concept with dazzling lighting effects: https://i.imgur.com/DSVZdhM.png

The Boards Volunteers did a great job putting this competition together, and we're so proud to share what the OCE community artists can do. Full contest results here

This is an awesome way to support teams. Sadly only being able to support teams from your own region is too restricting. I don’t give a shit about the teams from my region (OCE) but support multiple teams in other regions which I’d gladly purchase a pass for. Definitely will not be purchasing this in its current state.

Yea I don't think the day 1 "weak" consensus will age well, they usually don't. This one's going to take some time for people to learn as it is so far departed from what people know how to play.

I'm not on the balance or design team but after playing with and against Yuumi a few times and seeing just how differently people are playing her after a few days, I expect some of those hotfix buffs to be reverted sooner rather than later.
