For the last few months, some players have been experiencing recurring ranking and pips issues that are preventing their pips from accumulating and as a result, preventing their rank from updating. We have been looking into the issue since reports started to come in.

We introduced the error message in order to gather some crucial analytics and provide players with more information on the issue that they were facing. We are now investigating the logs we received from the community.

We appreciate the tremendous support from the players in sending their logs and we now have everything we need to move forward. Unfortunately, the customer support team is not able to apply any sort of fix for the moment. The resolution of this issue is in the technical team’s hands.

FEATURES & CONTENT

  • Content - Re-implemented the full translation for Traditional Chinese.
  • Feature - Added a delay before the ping indicator appears in the online lobby for Killers & Survivors. This delay allows for the ping to stabilize before being displayed to the player. 
  • Feature - Games that would start with less than 5 players are canceled, and all players still connected to the server will be returned to the tally screen (keeping their items, add-ons and offerings) and notified about the cancellation.
  • Feature - Re-added the theme music for DLC characters.

End Game Collapse

  • Closing the hatch instantly powers up the exit gates.
  • End Game Collapse starts when an exit gate is opened or when the Killer closes the hatch.
  • End Game timer starts at 2 minutes. Timer is slowed down when a Survivor is downed or hooked.
  • Survivors are sacrificed by the Entity when the timer expires. These sacrifices count as kills.
  • The Killer can now open a powered up exit gate.

BALANCE

Add-on changes:

  • Add-on Ashen Apple: +5 seconds.
  • Add-on Hematite Seal: +10 seconds.
  • Add-on Incensed Ointment: +0.3 Movement Speed.
  • Add-on Iridescent Seal: Reduced the duration of Worship mode by 20 seconds.
  • Add-on Limestone Seal: +5 seconds.
  • Add-on Olibanum Incense: +0.3 Movement Speed.

Emblem changes:

  • Devout: Hook event condition reduced from 10+ to 9+ hook events required for Iridescent quality. This makes it easier to achieve Iridescent quality of Devout emblem.
  • Gatekeeper: Scoring defended generators points reduced. Quality threshold requirements reduced. This makes it easier to achieve all qualities of Gatekeeper emblem.

Perk Changes:

  • Fire Up had it's values increased after testing in the PTB. Value increased up from 2/2.5/3% up to 3/3.5/4% for a new maximum of 15/17.5/20%.
  • Thanatophobia had it's values decreased after testing in the PTB. Values decreased from 4/5/6% down to 3/3.5/4% for a new maximum of 12/14/16%.

FEATURES & CONTENT

  • Content - Added a new option for player reporting in the Tally (Exploit).
  • Feature - Added a direct link to the Customer Support Help Desk in the Help & Tutorial page, as well as on the tally screen. Help Desk can be used to open a ticket with the Customer Support team. This is the place to go if you want to report an issue you have encountered in-game.
  • Feature - Added a new score event: Safe Hook Rescue. The scoring event triggers after a Survivor has been unhooked and not downed for 10 seconds. The Survivor that performed the hook rescue gains the points. This score event helps clarify if / when a safe hook rescue has occurred (for the purposes of Emblem: Benevolent, and new perk, Deliverance).
