@opinionsthatwin I mean, I'm happy to be transparent. Some of the programmers/engineers have been working on automation to make our builds faster. Great idea. Not optimal to implement that system on a Friday when there's other stuff going into deployments and we're all tired.
We are deploying now: Genesis servers will now do as they are supposed to and there will be a rollback on Aberration servers to the previous deployment to remedy a destruction volume issue -4h rollback. That was a rollercoaster. Sorry team. I cri evrytiem.
This relates to PC only btw. Console players dodged this bullet.

Okay, console client release including this change is targeted for May 19th
@smearysword866 To be fair, I think some players believe new content = pulling everyone at the Studio to work on it whilst halting work on the Live game. True, some programmers will be assigned tasks related to the new stuff that might temporarily split their time. It's usually minimal though.
@StarLord8114 Happy to hear. There's still more for us to improve in regards to the Live game but we think we've made some strides forward too
@tazman1983 @SyntacYT We're doing okay, a little strained like everyone else during this pandemic. Ced is holding up and looks forward to being around all of us and all of you again. No ETA, we suck at ETA's. Promise it hasn't been forgotten though 😉

@SyntacYT Oh, this wasn't intended to come off as sassy! We're all very passionate about games (players and Devs) and I think more understanding about Game Dev and how Studios operate is great for meaningful communication and productive feedback loops 🙂

In (live) Game Dev, iterating on: bugs/exploits/optimisation/perf/balance/crashes/cheat detection & mitigation is a continual process. Content is predominantly created by different teams, like art, creature, design, VFX, SFX, environment artists, & level design.
