  • We’ve adjusted the way Spectator mode and the Skip Animations setting worked:
    • An spectator can’t have Skip Animations ON if none of the players has Skip animations ON.
    • If one of the players has the setting turned OFF (so they watch the animations), the spectator can still skip the animations, since the match will wait for the player who sees animations to complete their turn.
    • If both players have Skip Animations ON, the Spectator can have the animations skipped as well.
    • While you’re spectating a match, the option to Skip Animations will be blocked in your settings, and it will be adjusted
    • Once you quit spectating the match, the setting will go back to the way you had previously set it.
    • The reason for this change was the many issues the interaction between these two features were causing. If an spectator was watching animations but the players weren’t, turn actions would get overlapped, VFX would play all at once, and could even cause black screens.
  • The Ranked Season will end on ...

Hey there, Tamers! We just reached 2.000.000 accounts on Temtem, which is an impossibly big number for us to fathom! As we achieve this milestone, we think it’s a great time to reflect on patch 1.8, which was the last big planned patch for Temtem and such an important milestone for us to reach, as well.

The focus on patch 1.8 was to make Temtem more enjoyable in a more casual way, putting aside our long-held fears that having things become too easy would destroy or make impossible a proper, stable player economy. Screw that! We made adjustments to most gameplay areas so goals were more achievable and accessible, and most things can now be obtained in less time. We did our best to make sure the game is enjoyable, fun and kind to all the players who continue enjoying Temtem on a daily basis, and any new players who might make their way into the Archipelago.

There was hardly any area of gameplay untouched in the patch, so we recommend you give the patch notes a read if you didn’t back the...

  • This patch will launch next Monday, and it’s not live yet! We’re sharing early patch notes because they’re safe, and we’re aware soon-to-happen community tournaments could be affected.
  • The day for the Competitive Season change has been moved from 23/12 to 6/01.

  • A new pop-up message has been created for the Randomlocke mode, informing you that breaking co-op during a battle will cause you to lose that randomlocke run.

  • We’ve made it so you can complete the Kudos and Weekly Challenges of completing a Radar if you capture the Luma at some point.
    • They will still work if you complete the 300 encounters, but now we’ve added a completion condition for players who are unable to complete all 300 encounters because they find the Luma before.
  • We have modified Dojo Parks furnishing so there is always a straight path to the entrance.
    • Dojo Parks that had furniture and decoration set in that path will have it returned to their inventory. You’ll see them once you enter Edit mode.
  • We hav...

  • We’ve added a visual indicator on the Saipark UI that lets you know when you’ve done your weekly Luma capture. This way it’ll be easier for players to know once they’ve filled their weekly limit.

  • You can now enjoy a Trading Station from the comfort of your own home!
    • In the same vein of having the Temporium machines as furniture pieces for a Tamer’s house, we have now added a Trading Station to the mix.
    • This replica works the exact same way as their actual counterpart.
    • It has been included in the Store.

  • We’ve removed the decimals on the 100.00% Luma chance in Digilair, as it was displaying incorrectly.
  • We’ve made it so the Temtem you receive from defeating NPCs will all be level 100 with all their SVs at 50.
    • This applies to both Mythical Lairs and DigiLairs (although DigiLairs already provided all Tems with SVs at 50).
  • You can now exchange Luma Anahir for Luma Drops, and it should provide the right amount of Luma Drops.

While this patch wasn’t focused on balance, we w...

The focus on this patch was to make Temtem more enjoyable in a more casual way, putting aside our long-held fears that having things become too easy would destroy or make impossible a proper, stable player economy. Screw that! We’ve made adjustments to most gameplay areas so goals are more achievable and accessible, and most things can now be obtained in less time. In this new Temtem era, the dream of having Luma and Umbra Tems will become a reality for more players, but we still tried to keep the flow of new Lumas/Umbras comprehensible. We’ve also added new measures against backtracking during the campaign, improved the economy for players on the early stages of the game, made endgame activities easier and more rewarding, revamped Saipark to last a long time, added some nice touches to ranked play, and muuuuch more. We’re also opening the floodgates on all cosmetics and Tamer Passes, so the Archipelago is sure to become more colorful! There’s hardly any area of gameplay untouched in ...

Hello, Tamers! Today we’re here to shed some new light on the approximate release date for patch 1.8, which has been slightly pushed to earlier than originally planned. That’s right, for once we’re not here to share a delay, but rather an advance!

Patch 1.8 will be launched in early September, even if its scheduled date was early October. We’ll be able to give you the specific day in a little time!

As many of you already know from our post on the future of Temtem, patch 1.8 is the last big content update we have planned for Temtem. After this patch, there’ll be updates to fix bugs, correct balance, or any other utility reason. These patches won’t follow a regular schedule, but rather they’ll be made when needed. They will be different from the updates so far. 1.8 is that cherry on top that will give the game a huge makeover to make sure it’s enjoyable, fun and kind to all the players who continue enjoying Temtem on a daily basis, and any new players who might make their way into the Ar...

Hi Tamers! As you might already know, at Crema we’re firm advocates and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community, and we try to abide by these beliefs in everything we do. Beyond in-game representation, which is our focal point, and making sure our office is also a safe space, we came up with Pride banners so everyone could further express themselves in Temtem!

Here is the complete list of Tamer banners based on Pride flags that we’ve included over the years, all in one comfortable place so you can easily reach them all!

To redeem any or all of these codes, you must enter the codes in the Redeem option in your main menu, as seen below!

For ease of access, here are the codes in text form so you can copy them directly from here!

  • We have corrected the issue preventing players on consoles from making purchases with Feathers instead of Novas. All console players can now use their Feathers to purchase cosmetics, as long as they have enough Feathers for it.
    • Please do remember that the game will still prioritize using your existing Novas.

  • A new batch of Pride flag banners has been added to Temtem!
    • You can redeem this new batch of flags by entering the following codes in the Redeem option of the Lobby screen.

      HPPY-PRDE-PROG-FLAG

      HPPY-PRDE-AACE-FLAG

  • Innkball
    • We have tweaked the button that closes the tunnel’s door so it can’t be activated from inside the tunnel, to prevent players from getting the ball trapped in there.
    • You can now shake the table by pressing the same button used to throw the ball. This will help if your ball gets stuck.

Hi Tamers! Four months have finally gone by, and it’s now time for Season 7 to begin, and patch 1.7 to be deployed. Patch 1.7 is mostly focused on the removal of microtransactions, the transition from Novas to Feathers, and, of course, the Arcade Bar! It also includes one of the coolest seasons we’ve ever done, so we hope you’ll enjoy it!

Patch 1.7 will be closely followed by patch 1.7.1 so we can fix an unexpected issue that causes console players to not be able to use Feathers to purchase items from the Store, which is one of the most relevant changes in this patch. We apologize for the inconveniences, and will keep everyone updated on how 1.7.1 is doing and when it’ll be launched.

A new Season: Neon Reverie

This new Season is special in many ways. We’ve been through a lot of Seasons together, and explored a chunk of cultures, colors and themes hand in hand! Now, under sparkling neon lights, we reach Temtem’s last Season. It’s a moment filled with sadness, nostalgia, and tenderness ...

  • KNOWN ISSUE FOR CONSOLES: You won’t be able to use Feathers to purchase items from the Store until 1.7.1.
    • This bug has been corrected for patch 1.7.1, which will be sent to certification on the very day we launch 1.7. It shouldn’t take more than two weeks to be certified and launched.
    • You will still be able to purchase the Tamer Pass with either Novas or Feathers. The bug only affects the daily and weekly Premium Store.
    • We didn’t want to postpone 1.7 any longer by re-starting the certification process, so we’ve opted for a new, quick build containing the fix, which is 1.7.1.
    • We deeply apologize for the inconveniences this might cause.
  • Premium monetization has been removed from the game.
    • As of this patch, you won’t be able to purchase Novas anymore. There won’t be an option for it in the Shop anymore, and the bundles are being removed from all the platforms’ stores.
    • Remaining Novas in player’s inventories won’t be removed and you’ll be able to keep using them to purchase cosmet...

Hello again, Tamers! As we approach the launch date for patch 1.7, it’s time for us to share some of the content planned for it! As usual, remember this is just a preview, and we’ll go more in-depth over the features and changes in the 1.7 patch notes.

A new Season: Neon Reverie

This new Season is special in so many ways. We’ve been through a lot of Seasons together, and explored a chunk of cultures, colors and themes hand in hand! Now, under sparkling neon lights, we reach Temtem’s last Season. It’s a moment filled with sadness, nostalgia, and tenderness towards all the Seasons we’ve discovered and enjoy! To close it off on the best note possible, this Season’s theme is pop culture, urban lifestyle and a tiny pinch of well-intentioned weebness. This wonderful mix of traditional and modern flowers in Cipanku, especially in Neoedo. Enjoy the latest trends or experience burning nostalgia in a vivid array of colors!

The long-awaited Arcade Bar will open its doors to all ...

Welcome, Tamers, to the first-ever in-depth Meet the Team, where you get to know more about the devs working on Temtem and Temtem: Swarm! We plan to hold these little segments from time to time, so everyone can become more familiar with the Crema devs, and get to see the people they are behind the game.

On this occasion we sit with the VFX team, which consists of Kees Klop, Alberto Abanses, and Mario Belén, to chat about their day to day, their favorite work of theirs, their road in Crema, and some quirky questions so we can get a deeper look into who they are. Let’s begin!

Kees Klop

  • Tell us a bit about yourself and your background! How long have you been at Crema? Have you worked in a similar role before?

Hi everyone! My name is Kees. 26 years old and Lead VFX Artist at Crema.
I started my gamedev journey somewhere around 2014 with a Game Artist degree in Amsterdam. During the first 2 years I learned the basics when it comes to creating games, but as time went on I got more and ...

  • We’ve added the character name and TamerID to the section in Settings where you could check your Support ID.
  • 👥We’ve correctly updated Bunbun and Hidody’s Umbra Radar prices and they now match that of similar Tems.

PvE

  • We’ve increased the the bonus that the Isolated Status Conditions offers while capturing Temtem, from 1.0x ⇒ 1.3x.
  • We’re aware that removing Cage from some Tems may affect some capture methods in the PvE environment. We hope that we can provide useful and valid alternatives for PvE players by making Isolated have the same catch rate bonus.
  • We have removed Venx from Musa’s Rematch roster.

Hello, Tamers! We’re here to share with you an open letter to the community, and to reach out to you.

We’ve been listening to you for a long time, and we are aware of your concerns and worries. Over the past few weeks we’ve seen an uptick in the community expression of unhappiness and doubt following the lead-up to, and the announcement of Temtem: Swarm. We’ve been listening to and taking in that feedback, processing it internally, and we think it’s time we have an open chat with you addressing all of it.

With this open letter we want to try and answer the most recent, pressing questions, to shed some light on the future of both Temtem and our studio, and to offer a bit more insight into our development decisions, learnings, and the upcoming path.

This will be a long post, as we wanted to be thorough in answering your questions and provide context for our decisions. We also recognize we’ve made mistakes in the past and want to address them directly and sincerely apologize for them. We ...

Welcome Tamers to the awaited Season renewal and patch launch day! The slight chill in the air has now turned into a full-blown blizzard, and we remember the old glacial times: welcome to Frozen Tales and Patch 1.6!

A new icy season

Baby, it’s cold out there! Frozen Tales will take you back in time to a long lost era when primeval humans and Temtem roamed a bare Archipelago. Prepare to connect with ancestral deities and to walk in old footsteps! As always, this new Season comes with a new Tamer Passnew Premium and Regular cosmetics, and a new competitive Season.

This one Season, however, as we’ve already addressed, will be the first one in Temtem not to have events. All events were planned as a fun addition for those players who reached endgame and wanted to continue having goals to work towards. Unfortunately, they weren’t the liking of the players and after hearing the feedback of the community we had to make a hard decision as we’re unable to fulfill your expectations.

Please tak...

Hey Tamers! It’s now been over a month since the TemCS ended, and we’re here to walk through how it’s been for us, review its performance, and talk about its future. Since the TemCS and the Showdown Standalone client had a lot of common ground, we’ll be talking about the future for the Standalone version as well, plus some other tidbits here and there you might want to know about. Be warned that this is a very long post!

TemCS Postmortem review, from our Tournament Organizer Yahlunna

A year in recap – Issues

What a year 2023 was, right? We started the first season of the TemCS in January aiming for a World Championship closure in September, but after a bunch of bugs and issues, we just crowned aarrggnn as your Temtem World Championship last December. It took a bit of extra time, but we got there!

Despite the bumps in the road, we feel like the TemCS was a very enjoyable event. Of course, there’s a lot of stuff we would change regarding the format of the event, rulings, etc....
