  • #065 – Hedgine
    • Binary Flood has been removed from its move pool.
    • Token has been added to its move pool.
    • Hedgine is one of the strongest digitals in the format thanks to its Gotta Go Fast Trait .This is why we’ve decided to remove the move that we think is the most problematic in the Hedgine kit, and we will keep watch on it and its trait to see if it needs to be adjusted for 1.6.
  •  #131 – Tukai
    • Noxious Bomb has been maintained in its move pool as a TC.
    • One of the most talked-about topics in the Tuwai line has been the Noxious Bomb tech. We have considered the feedback provided and have decided to remove this tech from the entire evolutionary line except for Tukai, who relies on the interaction between this technique and Shuine’s Horn for its physical set to exist at all.
  •  #144 – Vulffy
    • Sludge Gift has been removed from its move pool.
    • Bush is now an Egg Technique.
    • Petal Dagger can be learned at level 31.
    • Vulffy is still a super dominant Temtem in ...

  • Lair Bonuses will now increase depending on the group size, to make Lairs more attainable.

    • This will only take place once you’re in the second half of the Lair.
    • Amount of Jewels needed 4 ⇒ 3.
  • We’ve reduced the possibilities of getting Neutral or Crystal Tems in the Pansun Sanctum Lair.
  • We’ve increased the possibilities of getting Water, Nature and Digital Tems in the Pansun Sanctum Lair.

Hello, Tamers! Patch 1.5 launched late September, and with it, Temtem’s third Mythical Tem, Galios. Since it’s such an important Temtem, and the last to fulfill the Temtem roster, I sat down with Art Director Cris “Nae” Jiménez and Game Director Guillermo “YaW” Andrades to learn and share some insight on the birthing of the supernova Temtem! Grab a sippy drink and follow me.

Nae, what was the goal in mind with Galios’ design?

Since lore-wise Galios is in charge of rotating the Pansun’s plates and keeping the archipelago afloat, its design had to show power and omniscience. In addition, it was like the “final boss” of the game so it had to feel really special, almost like a god.

Was the shape something you already had in mind, or did it come later?

At first we explored the idea of making a creature with a more delicate and small appearance, but with large plates around to protect it, which would allow it to be tanky despite its size. This creature would base its menace mainly on its g...

Welcome, Tamers, to the spookiest of Seasons, the crumble of old relics being awoken, the shadows: welcome to patch 1.5 and Season 5, Endless Night! Patch 1.5 is probably the biggest patch since we launched 1.0, and the first patch in a while that adds a new Temtem.

Galios, the third Mythical

Galios has awoken, or rather, you have awoken it! Start a new quest at Nanto Labs to discover unexplored heights, a mysterious order with much to hide, and the Temtem behind crucial natural forces.

Galios comes with a brand new route, in a brand new area. Enjoy new music, new effects, new cinematics and new (and not so new) characters. Its Traits are totally new mechanics that revolve around the Doom Status Condition, so it’ll be sure to cause plenty of surprises and unexpected twists in battle.

Maybe defeating Galios will unleash the biggest surprise of them all…

Umbras

Finish the new quest and defeat Galios to unleash a new type of Temtem in the Archipelago. I’ll let you enjoy the surprise, but...

  • A new Mythical Temtem is here
    • Galios is the third and last Mythical Temtem. With a kit focused on Doom, new Traits with new mechanics, and a brand new route and Lair, it’s sure to spice things up around the Archipelago, a place it hasn’t visited in eons.
    • There’s a new quest that will take you to its Lair and unprecedent new heights. You can start it at Nanto Labs, in Cipanku.
  • A new quest and a new route
    • Come onboard to a most distant land. The third Mythical Lair can now be unlocked, if you dare.
    • Meet a mysterious Order on your way to Galios, and find out more about their intriguing schemes.
  • A new type of Temtem: Umbras are real.
    • After teasing this for months, Umbras really do exist and have been included in this update.
    • Umbras are a new type of differently-colored Tems. They’re Lumas’ dark, even rarer counterpart. They have a new effect, exclusive to them.
    • Umbras won’t spawn until you have finished their respective quest, and after defeating the third Mythical, Galios.

The time has finally come to dispel some of the mystery surrounding 1.5! As you know, patch 1.5 will launch on September 25th along with Season 5. And there’s a lot to talk about in this patch, so take my hand and I’ll walk you through some of the most interesting or relevant features of the upcoming patch 1.5.

The 3rd Mythical and its route

The third and last Mythical Temtem will be landing in the game very soon! This Mythical comes with a brand new route, in a brand new area that we think will surprise and delight you! We’re dying to welcome you onboard!

While we don’t want to give too many spoilers, this last Temtem’s Traits are totally new mechanics and revolve around the Doom Status Condition, so it’ll be sure to cause plenty of surprises and unexpected twists in battle. It’s also chonky, if you cared.

Its name starts with a G 😉

We’re trying a new approach to balance changes this time around! We’ll be posting some Temtem and the changes that apply or heavily influence them all together, so you can more easily see and gauge the impact of these changes. To make sure nothing gets lost in the fray, though, these changes will still appear under their respective categories lower down below. Let us know what you think of this change, and any feedback you might have on it!

  • #001 – Mimit

      • SPD Stage modification has been reduced 2 ⇒ 1.
      • Damage has been reduced 25 ⇒ 20.
    • Striking Transmog
      • Damage reduction has been reduced 50% ⇒ 30%.
    • Mimit is one of the most predominant Temtem in this meta. The changes to Striking Transmog have been successful in terms of gaining popularity, but we believe that its potential has gone a bit overboard. Therefore, we are making some adjustments to both Striking Transmog and DNA Extraction. We want this version of Mimit to remain strong, as its effectiv...

Hey Tamers! Three months flew by and we’re here again with another update! Patch 1.4 is mostly focused on the competitive aspects of the game, while patch 1.5 will be entirely PvE-centered. While we’re all super bummed about the Arcade Bar being delayed, we’ll keep working hard to make every patch interesting and an improvement to the game!

A new Season

With patch 1.4 comes Season 4: Splash up! This is a Season filled with pool parties, beach sunsets, chill activities and summer fun. It’s a Season for splashing around and not fighting the current, but rather following it! There will be two events during this Season.

Also, as important info, Seasons after this one will last one month more, so 4 months. We’d like to have more time to polish the content we put out. Some features have gotten out of hand and were becoming too big to cleanly launch in three months, leaving us with no leeway to fix issues or quickly react to unforeseen circumstances. There’s always something popping up from ...

Hello, Tamers!

The build for patch 1.4 has been sent out, which means that the platform holders for the consoles will review the build, and find any possible issues. Once they give us a green light, the patch is ready to be published on the the planned date, which for 1.4 is June 19th.

Would you like to know more about what’s included in patch 1.4? Let’s go!

A new Season

With patch 1.4 comes Season 4: Splash up! Like you can probably guess, this is a Season filled with pool parties, beach sunsets, chill activities and summer fun.

It’s a Season for splashing around and not fighting the current, but rather following it! There will be two events during this Season, one of them our first ever Pride event, that comes with some extra freebies, and another secret one later along the road, which will make the delight of players who love their Tems!

Also, there’s a slight change to Seasons’ length from this patch onward: Seasons will now last a month longer. We’d like to have more time to pol...

Hello, Tamers! Season 3 is still in full-blown, but, following community feedback, we’re showing you the end-of-season rewards a bit earlier this time, so you’re encouraged to aim for the rank you want. This Season’s rewards are themed around victory and glorious laurels, to commemorate the competitive theme of the Clash of Tamers Season.

Banners:

Seals:

These rewards will be given out when Season 3 ends and Season 4 begins, expectedly on June 19th, so you still have time to grind the ladder if you want to aim a bit higher!

Remember that you’ll obtain a title that displays the highest rank you achieved, a seal for each rank you achieved, and a banner for each rank you achieved; also remember you need to have won 10 games in a rank to be considered part of that rank.

Have fun and see you soon for some info on Season 4!🌊

Hello Tamers! We are bringing you a mid-Season update on the upcoming balance plans for Season 4 and patch 1.4. We have been working on this patch for some weeks and there’s already a lot of progress on it, so we’d love to share some of it with you.

We previously announced that the focus for this patch would be on Stall, and that has not changed: we’ve practically reviewed all Temtem with a primary usage in Stall.

Overall, the key to making Stall more interactive is to strike balance between defensive and offensive strategies, and to keep the opponent on their toes by introducing unexpected moves and tactics.

That’s not all, of course: during these past weeks we have also started reviewing every support and some bulky offense Temtem. Our approach has been to establish a set of “rules” or checks shared amongst all of them, to ensure that they are all seen under the same light.

These rules/checks, explained below, cover overlapping effects, high hold techniques, cheap efficient options...

  • 👥We’ve added an indicator for the Nuzlocke and Randomlocke modes that will show you the number of captures left for the zone you’re currently in. It’s located next to the Minimap.
  • 👥We’ve added an Species Clause to the Nuzlocke and Randomlocke modes:
    • When running into a Temtem they have already tamed before as the first encounter on any given zone, the player can defeat it or run away without wasting one of their allowed encounters.
    • However, if any given Temtem has already fainted in that Tamer’s run, defeating it will count as an encounter still.
    • If the player decides to capture that Tem despite already having it, it will count as a valid encounter and it’ll consume one of the allowed encounters.
    • The game will check for the previous evolutions, so if you have a Granpah in your squad and encounter a Paharo, you will be able to defeat it without using one of your allotted encounters.
    • If you defeat the evolved version of a Tem without first having tamed it, it will count as an encounter ...

Tamers, the time has come to face challenges like we’d never seen before! Patch 1.3 is here with a new Season, three new Challenge Modes, a new currency, new location and new usage for Luma Tems.

Ready to dive in?

Challenge Modes

Have you ever considered Temtem to be tough? Yeah, me too. But what if we managed to make it even harder? The new Challenge Modes are here to add a new layer of complexity for those who love a good challenge, extreme limitations, and a taste of pure randomness.

These challenge modes will run on a different server, and have a different save slot. You will not be risking your 3-year-old Lumas in the Nuzlocke mode, not any Luma, for that matter: there won’t be Lumas in the Challenge modes. There won’t be trades, either.

You can only have one challenge run active at any given time, so you’ll have to finish or abandon your current one if you want to try another mode. There’s no cooldown or restriction of any sort, so you’ll be able to drop and restart a Challeng...

  • Like with every Season change, your TMR will be soft-reset at the beginning of Season 3. Soft reset means it won’t be reduced to 0 or to 1000, which was the starting point, but rather to a middle point between your TMR at the moment and 1000. The formula, for those interested in the specifics, is ((1000 + S2 TMR) / 2).
  • Following Season change, too, rank redistribution will happen, and Competitive ranks will be redistributed in accordance with the population that played ranked matches during the previous Season. This means the cutoff numbers will change, i.e., if you needed to reach 2500 TMR to get to Legend before, you might need to reach 2700 TMR now, depending on how that rank’s population and intended population are. This is the first time the system is going to tackle this on its own; we’ll be monitoring it closely to ensure everything has gone well, and to check if further changes or intervention are needed.
  • Since there was a delay in the launch of this patch and Season 3 will s...
