It is time to mount your steeds and ride across the plains of the Exiled Lands. One of the most sought-after features since Early Access launch is a reality: Mounts are now available in Conan Exiles!

Mounts aren’t the only thing coming in Update 38, though: You will be able to engage in mounted combat and level up your pets and thralls, so they grow more powerful the more time you spend with them.

Mounts

Getting a mount works the same way as getting a regular pet. You will first have to find a foal, then bring it back to a Stable to raise it. Stables work the same as Animal Pens, but are for horses only.

Like Pets/Thralls, horses will grow stronger as they level up. Raise several different horses to find one with the stats you like.

Mounts have arrived in Conan Exiles!

The update introducing mounts is free while the Riders of Hyboria Pack offers lots of new content and options for this new feature.

You can now ride in both force and style through the Exiled lands and crush your enemies with brutal cavalry charges. Lower your lance and skewer opponents or pick them off at a distance with mounted archery.

With the Riders of Hyboria Pack you can not only equip your horse with unique new saddles, but also gear yourself up in knightly armors and weapons from the region of Poitain.

Build a stable for your horses with new building pieces and decorate it with placeables such as carts, haystacks and wheel barrows.

The third DLC Pack included in this year’s Season Pass is now available for purchase! With the Debaucheries of Derketo Pack we’re expanding your building and roleplaying options in several ways.

For all you builders and interior decorators out there we’re adding new building pieces and placeables that will let you build the tavern of your dreams. Wine racks, curtains, counters, even an entire chess set, is available at your fingertips.

But that’s not all: you can also build special treetop foundations and rope bridges to bring your jungle constructions to the next level. Once your treehouse is finished you can create an opulent bedroom with red curtains and new luxurious beds.

One of the most sought-after features in The Exiled Lands is soon to become a reality. This December mounts will arrive in Conan Exiles, and along with it, mounted combat. Here’s the first teaser video! 

Mounts will allow you to navigate the Exiled Lands at a more rapid pace than before, but that’s not all: we’re also rolling out mounted combat, letting you swing your sword at your enemies from horseback!

We’ll have more to share about mounts in the time leading up to release in December, but if you’re at TwitchCon this weekend you can try an early version of mounts in Conan Exiles on the show floor at booth 1818.

The Exiled Lands is a brutal place and the fight for survival is difficult and relentless. With the all new Blood and Sand pack you can crush your enemies wearing new armors and wield fearsome weapons while fighting in new vaulted tunnels and arenas.

With Update 37 we introduced two-handed axes and short swords. Blood and Sand grants access to five new great axes and short swords, which look great when combined with the new armor pieces.

Finally, we’d be remiss not to mention the new building pieces and placeables. The Arena set is perfect for building colosseums and decorating them with new banners, gates, vaults, and much more!

The next major Conan Exiles update is now available on all platforms! Update 37 has a little something for everyone and we think you’ll be happy with what we’re adding to the game. 

First off, we’re rolling out two new weapon types: short swords, and the much-requested two-handed axes! You will also be able to play around with new and improved weapon mod and repair kits, and you can establish dedicated PvP zones with the new Battle Standard placeable. 

Finally, we’re changing up some weapon animations. We’ve discussed what this entails on a previous dev stream, but we’ll mention the main points in this blog.

Battle Standards

Battle Standards is a new type of placeable that we think a lot of you are going to appreciate. Since Early Access we’ve had players ask us for ways to establish specific areas as PvP zones, specifically so they can set up arenas for dueling and gladiatorial combat on servers not specifically dedicated to PvP.

Battle Standards will do exactly that.

The Placeable

The Battle Standard is a tall, placeable flag with two crossed swords on the front. It’s intention is to establish a PvP “Zone” in an area around it. The intended functionality is to allow players to first build an arena structure and then establish the PvP Zone with the cunning use of a flag.

We’ve implemented several additional special functions and rules to the battle standard in order to prevent griefing and exploiting:

• Once crafted and placed, it can’t take damage
• Once placed it will prevent placing down other structures inside the PvP area (so make sure you’ve finished your arena before plonking down the flag)

Dear exiles,

One year ago today, Conan Exiles left Early Access and was released upon the world. Conan Exiles launched on PC, Xbox and PS4, letting people all over the world survive, build and dominate their way through the Exiled Lands. 

It’s been an incredible journey and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing community of players providing us with feedback, bug reports and suggestions on how we can improve the game. A huge thank you for all your support. 

We said a year ago that full launch was only the beginning, and we meant it. Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to add new content and strengthen the core mechanics and gameplay features of the game. The work continues, but we’re proud of what we’ve been able to do so far. Going forward you will see more updates to fix bugs and improve upon critical issues, as well as adding in new content and features.

This week we’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of the full release of Conan Exiles. To mark the occasion, we’re rolling out the Anniversary Update! This update has been available on our Testlive branch for a couple of weeks and now we’re finally ready to roll it out to the live branch. You can play it now on PC, Xbox, and PS4!

This free update adds a whole new dungeon to the game, a new mini-dungeon, new types of pets, and a full revamp of several NPC settlements and cities. This revamp includes population changes, new bosses, and new loot and rewards for those of you brave enough to challenge these new foes.

Good morning my creatures of habit! Welcome back to the Conan Exiles community newsletter, where this week we’re going to talk about some things that have been happening recently. Sorry for missing last week, but with publishing Mutant Year Zero it’s been a busy time for Funcom’s Marketing team!

Things are moving forward in Conan Exiles land. As you may have seen in the last newsletter, we launched a public bug tracker board. This is part of our ongoing effort to keep the community informed about issues and bugs we’re currently working on. Here we will list and track critical issues brought up by the community.

To avoid the board getting too flooded, you won’t see everything currently under active development, but we hope this will keep you updated on the going son at the studio and the status of community reported issues. There’s also a full primer about the Trello board on our forums.

How do you do, fellow kids? Welcome back to the Conan Exiles community newsletter. With less than 3 weeks remaining of 2018 we’re slowly beginning to wind down in preparation for Christmas, while also working towards having Conan Exiles be in a stable and working condition when the holiday break begins.

We’ve released a major patch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One containing a multitude of fixes and changes, along with some new content that we think you will enjoy. This patch has been moved from Testlive over to the live version of the game and we wanted to thank all our Testlive players for helping us out with testing, feedback and bug reports.

Testlive will get further updates down the line. These will include several optimizations to how the game renders and loads in buildings, and some much-requested Purge fixes, some of which we detailed in the previous newsletter.

What’s up fam, it’s ya boi Conan Exiles! We’re back at it with another newsletter! It is our final work week before the holiday break and we are all looking forward to some much needed R&R with friends and family. As the year is beginning to wind down we felt that it was fitting to look back and reflect on the previous 12 months. 

Since January 2018, we’ve released around 30 patches and hotfixes for the PC version of Conan Exiles alone, adding everything from simple bug fixes and balance changes, to huge content additions and revamps. We’ve rolled out an additional 21 patches for the Xbox version, and 19 patches on PS4, bringing us to a total of 70 patches across three platforms. That’s an average of almost 6 patches per month!  

We’ve also released 4 paid DLC packs with new armors, weapons, building pieces, placeables and pet skins. Shoutout to our amazing art team who have been working tirelessly on making all of these amazing looking extras.

With the recent balance update, performance optimizations, the new VOIP and the rest of the changes we’ve rolled out, we felt there couldn’t be a better time to get into Conan Exiles.
