Yep! It's a permanent unlock.

This should now be fixed!

If you still notice any issues after reading this message, please let me know.

Could I grab your display name please, and I'll take a look.

I'll take a look, thanks for letting us know.

Hey there, could I grab your display name please? I'll take a look.

can you please make it so that you can add all these arceology pages added to the book? it taking up too much space in inventory

Are you referring to the lore pages? If so, you can destroy those as they are transcribed into your archaeology journal.

If you select to 'Destroy' them, you'll receive a warning with a message stating this (assuming that we're talking about the same pages).

I'll take a look tomorrow, thanks!

Hey, is it intended that you can't add a higher level mattock to your toolbelt and have it act like the lower level until you reach the level requirement? I believe it's like this for Hatchets and Pickaxes. Like if you're level 1 you can add a Rune hatchet and as you level it will act as an iron, steel, etc at levels 10,20,etc

Happy cake day :)

Yep, this is intentional (this is also what Mining now does since the rework).

It's done so that you actually progress with the tools rather than just utilising the highest tier from the start.

Thanks for posting your thoughts! We really appreciate it.

Thanks dude! I'll pass the feedback on to the rest of the Archaeology team.

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Could you look into changing the language in the skillguide to better illustrate this buff? It just says "the xp for screening soil is increased." This does not tell you in any way that you're ability to screen soil for materials is also increased.

Your ability to screen soil for materials naturally increases as you level e.g. at level 30, you have a better chance than at 29 (this example is minimal though of course).

A similar example in a different skill is how you become more proficient at cutting a willow tree as your woodcutting level increases.

Is it best to say that if you're going for xp you should drop it?

I don't think so. I personally store it all in the soil box (I have it upgraded to store 100 now), and then teleport back to the guild whenever I need to empty it into the bank.

So it was planned originally to be 25% but then got buffed later to 50%?

Indeed! A LOT of stuff changes in pre-release.

At the early levels the chance is indeed low, however the chance of receiving a material from soil increases as you level up. There are also various milestones (you can see them under 'Leveling benefits' in the skillguide) where the XP is also increased.

The concept of soil isn't for everyone which is by design. There are different player types that it appeals too, and there are others where it doesn't appeal at all (i.e. those that are happy to drop or sell it).

It provides a 50% increase.

I have fixed the information displaying as 25% this morning (hopefully live next week).

Currently the colour changes based on whether you've contributed this specific item to that collection.

I can look at adding something else as well that represents whether that collection has been completed before.

Unfortunately this is a technical limitation with the amount of options we can have from the inventory which is why it's grouped into 'Information'.

However, if you were to equip the journal you'll be able to see both options separately from the worn view.
