The wording in the article is a bit weird, do allies focus Camille's ult target?

if they can reasonably do so, camille's allies will switch their AA target to Camille's ult target

there was definitely a version where her ult was her attaching to and punting away an enemy, then re-attaching her to her nearest ally, globally :)

shio shoujo put that in just to see if I would catch it during edits. I did, but decided to leave it in since her name's first now :P

I guess this is how the kids talk these days o. o

Pamelm

Are you the same BelugaWhale who used to be a top BLC Player? I used to play against you with my friend RBP if so lol.

nope, thats not me

HootingMandrill

Speaking of which, is there ever going to be an alteration to the BE costs of champions? Having champions released 4-5 years ago still cost 6300 is ridiculous. I understand if your unable to answer, I'm just legitimately curious if the topic is even something that's being considered at Riot.

sorry, don't actually know anything about prices / sales.

Oreo_Scoreo

What is it about beluga's that you love?

i had to change my name, which used to have whale in it, and beluga was the first type of whale that wasn't taken. sorry theres no deeper story here x.x

they are pretty cool though. especially the buff variety

Hey, I don't think just saying she's too strong in proplay is an accurate representation here.

For the upcoming nerfs it was discussed how Yuumi has an extremely high win rate growth on mains, with (if I remember correctly) 16% higher win rate after ~50 games.

This is giving these 'experienced' players a 60% win rate after the initial hotfix buffs which is a good enough reason for the current nerfs that were being looked at.

Please correct me if any of these figures are wrong, it's all from memory from what I have been reading about balancing patch discussions.

yeah shes definitely not just too strong for pro - which is why i also mentioned people are starting to figure out how to play her.

Noob players unable to control their character just casually buying 6300 BE champs... Lol

You make a valid point.

Akruu

Can you guys please correct her difficulty rating then.

its weird cause we actually think she is probably one of the best champs for a total noob, especially if they are playing with a more experience friend. Noob, not iron, being the keyword. I'm talking about someone who isn't familiar with RTS controls, and tries to use WASD to move their character, and barely ever right clicks anything. Put them in a game where right clicking is like, 90% of the button presses you do, and you'd probably see them basically just walk into the enemy and die cause they literally aren't accustomed to the controls of the game - and Yuumi takes that problem away and lets them focus on using their abilities and watching allies / enemies actions.

Man, it feels like just yesterday everyone was saying Yuumi sucked...

Shes both hard to play individually and (especially) hard to play with as teammates, which makes for a double hitting learning curve. We've always known that played well she was strong, and after the hotfix buffs, we suspect that she was hilariously overpowered - but at the end of the day game balance must reflect actual players. We are okay with releasing champions a fair bit lower winrate than other champions currently are because players get better - but not 30% winrate.

And now that pro play is starting to kick in and people are starting to figure her out, we can start scaling back the hotfix buffs and refining her balance to be closer for the average player vs the coordinated pro team. Even then, it's entirely possible that some regions just have an incorrect read on her (ie: she doesn't seem to be nearly as high priority in China), so maybe shes not actually that bonkers. It'll certainly take time for this to fully settle, but we'll get there.

Fortunately, experience playing ...

“This is really strong. We should lower the ap ratios.”

“But hear me out. What if we lowered the cool down instead and made it scale harder?” The designer then takes out his cat ears and colors the tip of his nose in Sharpie.

“Meow, motherfuckers.”

pls stop, I'm so tempted.

I mean it depends. Sure 140 AP is a lot but getting Yuumi to reach around 700 AP is almost impossible unless she takes every kill..

I've gotten 1300 AP on her : ^ )

That wasn't even with a veigar

Hey, just glad we saw anything for practice tool at this point. I didn't believe we would.

PS: 2-player PT would've been sooo helpful for hammering away at the Phantom-Nunu-W bug and getting the reliable repro for it (did eventually get up to sth decent after waiting 2min for scuttle spawn each), but I'm well aware of why it's not coming. D'aww...

I'm actually glad they added this function. Previously when I tested something in Practice Tool and needed the replay file, I'd just FF to kill a Nexus the fastest - which isn't possible before 15 min and also litters the match history with disheartening defeats you can only see yourself!

Now with this new cheat spell, my Practice Tool winrate rose dramatically! Not the change I was looking for, per-se, but I mean, still appreciated. Small but oho.

I was going to add a "Lose the Game" button as well that also flamed the player, but couldn't convince anyone that a joke was worth the effort. Oh well...

Even the active? Do you need to reset Overheal every time you want it?

everytime you get a new shield. Overheal only grants a new shield if you didn't have it before (otherwise it just grows the existing shield). It works as literal to how it's worded as possible
