Calling All Commanders,
The Hit The Road Venture season rages on! Keep on powering through those Blasted Badlands, and collect the latest seasonal rewards before the scheduled end date of September 4. As mentioned in a previous Homebase report, we’re aiming to analyze and improve underused and underperforming Hero abilities. To address the matter, our very own Major Oswald has an update on one of those Hero abilities, Grenades.
Listen up recruits. As I’m sure the dedicated among you have noticed, our Grenades just aren’t doin’ the job. Husks have been able to brush them off like they are just a feather in the wind! That won’t be the case anymore! Clip’s been grinding away in her workshop, and has provided us with higher damaging Grenades.

Hey Fortnite Friends, We mentioned in our last State of Development that we have a new Hero System in the works. We’re excited to announce that these Hero System changes will be in the v8.00 update!
 

More Heroes, More Combos

The current Hero Squad utilizes three slots: Hero, Support, and Tactical. The new Hero Loadout is made up of seven components: one Commander, five Support Team members, and one Team Perk. Heroes also no longer have a full set of static perks which define their gameplay. Instead, they’re focused on a specific perk, and you can mix-and-match perks to best fit your playstyle. The Hero Loadout gives you the tools to play YOUR way. Let’s break it down!
 

Commander

The Commander is the hero you’ll play as during the mission. This hero will determine your abilities, Class Perks (more on those later!), and Commander Perk. Fortnite and Travis Scott Present: Astronomical

From April 23-25, blast off into a one of a kind musical journey featuring Travis Scott and the world premiere of a brand new track. Astronomical is an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack’s creations, built from the ground up in Fortnite.
