Watching the trailer I can't wait for the controversy that would bring players to the game. I really wish that void made a much more deeper campaign mode that, whilst maintaining the SWAT4 style levels, has amazing cinematic to add onto RoN as it's own unique game. When I saw the trailer I got so happy that a game has tha nuts to be more unfiltered with how they represent their military/swat, and what they can encounter on a day to day basis. I'd love to see these gruesome realities fancied up onto a custscene at the end of every mission to make what you did that bit more impactful, leaving affected and changed from the game, now having essentially shown you really how it is to be a swat/military officers in the lowest of the lows and how that can affect the state of mind. If void were to take the right route with the SP mode and go in unhinged showing truly what happens behind the yellow tape, a clear and devastating point of view into the deviancy that they face, be it a crazed lover or a gruesome school day, I'm sure this game would itself out there as one of a kind whilst also maintaining the fact that it still has the essence of SWAT4. The game, with the right directing could win awards and easily make enough revenue to continue support for the game and even dip into their next project, who knows.
But if what I see in the trailer is what I'll see in game, I just want play it right fucking now I don't need multiplayer.
Looking forward to that as well.
The optimistic side of me wants to say "it's only the beginning of June" but the realistic side of me says it's going to get pushed back a couple of months. The fact that they're even bothering with PVP and it's botched release is even more obvious they have their priorities set differently from what we want (PVE) It's a damn shame. It really is.
Our priorities are still set in our singleplayer campaign and CO-OP content. That hasn't changed. The reasons why we chose to temporarily focus on the PVP part of the game are further explained in our latest newsletter, which shines some light on what's going on with development at the moment. This doesn't mean that we just switched all resources to PVP and forgot about SP and CO-OP — that's definitely not the case. In fact, albeit a portion of the team is still working on sorting out present issues on the PVP build, most of our resources are currently focused on the SP and CO-OP experience, including animations, level design and art, lighting and texturing, and probably most important of all, the AI system. We're doing what we can with what we've got and making a lot of progress, although also certainly looking forward to our postponed mocap session as it goes hand in hand with the new AI behaviors our programming team is working on.
We're shooting for a high-quality singleplayer an...

too late lawsuit heading your way
I'm almost glad day one was such a mess because I laughed so hard watching this
Great video, thanks Badger :)
Nice one.
I really don't like the voice acting or even just how many voice lines there are in the middle of a fight
We're toning down some of the voice lines. They can be excessive at times.
Hey quick question. I’m a little late on the uptake but I’m a supporter. Any way I can play the pvp?
Simply download the latest update for Ready Or Not on Steam and hop into a match :)
THAT'S HIS SOUND
Never mess with a man's sound
It coule be the gas mask. I've heard that with all the gas use it's become an essential gadget and there is no sense in taking it off.
Gas may be a little bit overpowered at the moment. We're looking into it. Balancing is fun.
This is exactly what I didn’t want the game to be... I wanted it to be as true to reality as possible. I know it’s a game. I know we are gamers and not real swat officers.
But I also know that swat officers don’t just randomly take a ladder out to climb a whole building to derp around.
Good luck getting that ladder to the top floor without getting neutralized by the enemy team, though!
Duh, that's why it's called Ready or Not, they were talking about its quality on release day.
Good one.
I laughed out loud. Thanks for this.
I was more saying there’s a dog in the basement of the pvp map lol but yes I love the darkness!
lol
This tweet didn't age well now, did it?
This is one of the things I like the most about the dark mood. There are areas of the map where you can turn your flashlight or NVGs on and find stuff you definitely wouldn't have seen otherwise.
As of now there is not much point in using LTL since anyone can just kill one of the arrested and they respawn anyway, even teammates. It will be interesting to see how that gets resolved.
It would be nice if it was somehow possible to extract your arrests or otherwise move and somehow pin them down (I'm pretty sure u can alredy do that by stunning) so they no longer are able to escape or die and respawn.
Alternatively there would have to be some kind of penalty for killing arrests especially as a teammate since there is no point in freeing anyone if u can just shoot him in the face. I can imagine the suspects doing that but not SWAT.
That is a fair point. We do need to further look into balancing arrested players getting killed by teammates.
You mean.... Carcosa?
Do I?
We really like the idea of expanding on the world of Ready Or Not with future expansions, and there's definitely a bunch of interesting locations and police units we'd like to look into. Our current idea for expansions is that they feature new levels (perhaps even storylines) in different locations of the world and, alongside them, new units, weapons, gear, and even rules of engagement according to which team you're playing as.
This is all really exciting to think about, albeit we currently have all hands (and minds) on deck working on releasing the base game first!

Cool shot. Now I'm wondering what happened next, though.
