Logs are created upon launching Rocket League. You don't need to play games to create logs.
If you're able to post your most recent log, it should shed some more light on the connection errors.
BUG: "Quick" play has wrongly been translated to "Partir rapide" in French. It should be "Partie rapide"

It was just to much detail for the machine to capture, I actually tried it with the spoiler and other details with the octane and it didn’t come out nearly as good as this one. But all in all I like it and it appears a lot of other people do as well

Logs are found in %userprofile%\Documents\my games\Rocket League\TAGame\Logs\
The name is based on a timestamp of when Rocket League was closed, and if it was your last session it will be called Launch.log
