Correct. Some appearances are quicker than others. There's more to just making an appearance than the art side of things too, it's the testing, integration into the game, UI, localisations, testing and much more.

I hope that too, the reason the commando became the "strong silent type" is simply other prioritizations. As always, game development is a series of decisions and we often have to choose between multiple things to work on or add.

Any chance we could have these lines (along with all the other presumably cool lines) subtitled for those with hearing impairments that are missing out?

That's a great suggestion and something we have discussed. However, currently we don't have an enough sophisticated system that can determine what subs that are the most relevant for the player. In multiplayer we sometimes have 3-5 lines playing simultaneus(enemies and friendlies shouting, commander radio, self voice, etc). So, what we've decided is to rely on the HUD for vital information.

Not the answer you were looking for I guess, but at least you know why.

To me it sounds a little different, I'm not sure what it is, I just can't put my finger on it. But I think it makes this 100x better.

We did several takes to get it as close as possible to the Twin Suns episode. Sam nailed it.

It's a bug that's been around as long as Finn has. You can hear him no matter where he is on the map.

EDIT: /EA_Charlemagne, tagging you in case maybe the devs don't already know about this one. Like I said, it's been around forever, but I feel like a lot of people don't know about it. It's obviously not a game breaking bug.

Actually this is by design. If you're between 15 and 60 meters away from Finn when he performs this ability you'll hear him over "radio". If you're within 15 meters you'll hear him positioned in world.

It's a very nice detail. When I hear Finn over the radio, I try to go to his position to get the buff.

On the subject of Finn, I am sure you are aware that he does not have any lines with Rey. Will that ever get fixed? It's weird listening to Kenobi and Anakin banter, Luke and all his OT friends, but not Rey and her bff Finn.

For different reasons we never recorded banter between Rey and Finn. Finn does have lines where he shouts at Rey(without mentioning her name) but she doesn't have answers.
