for high latency players, this was the only consistent way to stop a Behemoth
and now?
Overall, Client-Side Dodging will improve the tightness of a dodge for those with high latency. It should help a bunch.

Hi everyone - As you know Call of the Void (1.3.0) introduced a variety of bug fixes and improvements. One of them was a dodging refactor. Specifically: dodging was reworked to make it feel more accurate and to better reflect what you see on your screen when you dodge, instead of being impacted by latency. This includes your invincibility frames, or "iframes" for short.
As it relates to the chain blades, this means that your iframes no longer cover a light attack used directly after dodging. Previously the extended iframes were a bug that occurred when transitioning between dodge and the dodge light attack. Each attack in Dauntless carries its own risk and reward, and no attack should be “free.” (I’m looking at you Street Fighter players who use wake up Dragon Punch). Kidding....partially, we totally abuse it too.
Yes, this is a change, but being a Slayer requires practice and mastery and we look forward to seeing new chain blade strategies emerge from this update. As always keep t...

Thanks for posting! I love the idea :)
Hey there, we're resetting the leaderboard during our downtime. Hope this helps!
I'm so excited! I want that Thrax gear!
hahaha I love the 10 second version!
Yup, this is happening!
Very very cool
Hey everyone, this video has been put on hold while we work on the next making of Thrax video. Once our video editor has the bandwidth, we'll return to work on this video.
Thanks for your patience!
These are fantastic. Getting some Diablo vibes from this one.
So there's some focus on that mysterious orb... Apparently this season will have story elements tying to the grander tale throughout the season and I have a feeling this orb in the Umbral Depths is going to play a part in that.
Maybe it starts to crack as the season goes on?
ALL HAIL THE ORB!
Whoops. This shouldn't be showing up now, but if you want a sneak peek: https://www.reddit.com/r/dauntless/comments/h08m1l/umbral_eclipse_bundle_preview_june_11_2020/
This is so damn good!
I still need to get my hands on one of those statues!
When news came through earlier in the year of the acquisition of PL by a company that specialises in mostly mobile games, many of us were worried about the direction the game (and PL as a whole) would go, with fears of mobile focus and anti-consumer practices. But I think it's really interesting to see the mobile version being deprioritised in this latest update.
Instead of or worst fears being realised, it seems to have avoided the worst pitfalls of excess while managing to increase the scale and scope of the game and only become more ambitious with lots of great sounding content in store. Enjoying the levels of communication and general transparency as well.
Things still aren't perfect, and there's lots of room for improvement, but it's great to see they're working toward that goal with each update. Excited to see where things go from here and hoping that both the game and the company have a long, bright future ahead of them. Keep it up, PL. Good job.
Thank you so much. It means a lot.
We have a lot of things we want to focus on at the core of Dauntless, and we still have room to improve on our transparency and communication.
You may have noticed a ton of content being added to our Development Roadmap and wondered when we were going to follow up with more information on larger features.
Many of these features are still in the early, EARLY design stages. We’re hammering out details around Cells 2.0, Player Journey Map, Trials rework, weapon reworks, etc., and these features are evolving daily. We’re so excited to share more information with you in the future.
What we can share with you now is why we’re focusing on these features.
We’ve pinpointed a handful of areas we can improve thanks to all of your feedback, and we want to share them with you here:
Alongside Roadmap updates, we will also be publishing more details about our goals on our blog. You can also engage with us here on Reddit and Discord.
Thank you all so much for your support and input over the ...
