I guess I was lucky to be able to sign up, but has not received any emails yet.
If I remember right, you get the email after you've signed up... but it's not necessarily an indication that you've been accepted into the alpha or not.
So if/when you get it, you know that you've been processed.
Edit: Nevermind, this is incorrect. The email is just an invitation... it isn't an indication of anything else. 😊
I signed up and received no email, but still says I selected the dates and has a pending option when I do get through to the site.
I'd give it a bit, the servers are a bit overloaded... They're working on it! 😊

Got a closed alpha invite email today, asking me to confirm and get in (because it's first come, first serve). Tried getting to the website and it asks me to wait for 15 minutes because there are 150 people in the line.
Not only did I have to wait 15 minutes, it rejected my queue number when it was my turn and it's now telling me to wait an hour: https://imgur.com/a/b0pVp9v
