It depends on what you want to do...
When you launch on a mission the game will look for other people who are also launching that mission for the first time and try to form a group with those folks. If everything works out, you'll matchmake with some folks who are doing it for the first time.
If there are empty spots in your group, the game will automatically let your friends know that there's an opportunity for them to join you - and they can hop in and help you out.
Beyond that, other players can queue up to help out newer players using the reinforcement system. They can matchmake in and help round out a group.
If you prefer to play with just your friends though, you can always set the game to private and make your own squad.
For Freeplay, you'll generally be matchmade into an existing server (new ones are being spun up and down all the time). There will likely be other players on that server π.

So I know we will get different landing animations and a victory pose. But for the love of god I want a few different flying animations. The base ones are ok atm but I want the classic superman one arm out extended while the other arm is close to his chest/stomach. 2 arms out and when you change directions if you go left the right arm slides back like your breaking and same for the other side. Maybe have a flying attack in are one arm cocked back ready to punch a mob in air. atm we only have a ground pound while in air when you try to melee. I know I only put down a few examples but Id honestly think it would add to the uniqueness a lot.

I think they said that the higher your level, the more likely that higher tier stuff would drop, so like (my numbers) at level 10 you might have a 1% chance that your drop will be "epic," but at level 20 it's a 10% chance, or something along those lines. I imagine that even that aside, an "epic" level 20 weapon would have higher stats than an "epic" level 10 weapon.
But they also seemed to imply that crafting was more of a gap-filler, not an endgame mechanic, that while you could craft "basic" versions of any type of thing, they seemed to imply that you would not be able to craft "the best" of any type of thing, leaving you at the whims of RNG farming for that.
Crafting fills a few gaps, mostly it's as a secondary sink... for example if you don't like shotguns (what's wrong with you? π) you could crush them all and craft sniper rifles instead.
The power level of the item that is crafted is tied to your pilot level, the rarity is dependent on the blueprint.
Once you've hit max pilot level, you can absolutely craft end game items assuming you have the mats and the blueprints. π

So If I purchase premier access right now. My initial order of the game price/charge will not be deducted from my bank account. correct?
They're not mutually exclusive, so if you just buy Premier now and do nothing else, you will still be charged for your pre-order when the time comes and effectively have Premier + the full game separately. (So that you can still play if you cancel Premier.)

It will be a different release, yes. You won't be able to just convert the demo into the full game. That will have to be downloaded separately.

You can play in all the sessions, the session tracking is more meant for us so we have an idea about who is planning on playing in which sessions. π

We've done other tests prior to this one, this is probably the largest one though - which makes sense given the nature of it (stress testing) π.
You had it right, some of the copy on the EA site describes it well...

Customization has some impact on your visual look as models change based on what you have equipped...
The personalization system lets you can add colour, vinyls/decals and meshes (armor packs) to pretty completely modify how the suit looks (as you've seen in some of the twitter posts and videos) π.
Do the meshes (armor packs) work like a single item slot that changes your Javelin's entire armor profile, or can you say...mix and match shoulder pieces with helmets, with gauntlets, etc.?
You can mix and match, I think we'll be going into more detail on this stuff at some point π.
You literally can make your entire javelin cloth and then make it hideous. Like some giant rainbow purple monster with like tentacles that is all cloth and wriggling or something. I fear the power we have been given here.
I fully expect the most disgusting "Fashion" from some people LOL.
One of our systems designers delights in having the most hideous personalization I've ever seen... it's... haunting... π

Pretty sure the rarity of the gear equipped will dictate the prefix we saw here. Think of it like a gear score/light level sort of thing.
Edit; also based off of what we know about the alpha stage, itβs possible the rangers level was 4 with base gear equipped.
Sort of like this, it's just an easy way to understand the power level of your suit. It's more related to the power level of your items. π
