Hey there, we have a fix for this in testing and hope to roll it out next week in a bug fix patch. Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks for the video, we're looking into this.
This is a bug.
Your video wouldn’t load for me so I couldn’t see exactly what happened but the stuck message is shown if your client predicts you were hit by the pulse bomb. Sometimes your client will mispredict, usually this is due to network latency or some packet loss.
Cheers!
Hey there if you send me a private message here on Reddit with your Battle.net email and the new battle tag you want I’ll see if I can get it changed.

Just chiming in to tell thanks to your netcode programmers. They did an amazing job. I wish I was that good lol.
Also, if you don't mind, what kind of technology stack do you guys have apart from your homegrown solutions?
I passed the comment along, they appreciated the kind words, thanks!
There's a lot of technology that goes into Overwatch, we've given a few talks at GDC over the years, if you haven't checked those out I highly recommend it! They do a better job outlining our tech than I could do in a quick reddit post. :)
Hey there, our engineering team is around 50. We have a few groups within engineering including gameplay, server, engine, tools, and live ops (this is generalized a bit). The development team as a whole is bigger than 100 now, back when we shipped I think we had about 30 engineers.
The credits in game is a pretty easy way usually to get team size counts for most games.
Cheers!
I think so, but I’m biased! :)

You all rock !
<3 you all too! Happy Holidays Airborn Studios pals!
Hey Reddit, happy holidays from Team4. <3
Hey Switch folks, happy holidays from Team4. <3
Hey Reddit, happy holidays from Team4. The community is my favorite part of working on Overwatch, and this subreddit has been a big part of that for me.

Jeff just blink a few times in a row if you need me to find someone to take over for you.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Wow this is awesome. Happy holidays from Team4!
Hey there, today we deactivated a hotfix due to a rare issue that could cause a client crash. Even though the amount of crashes was very small, the hotfix was only addressing a minor issue, and we felt stability is more important.
Unfortunately when we removed the hotfix we found an issue where replays captured with the hotfix applied did not correctly continue to load that hotfix data. We’ve made an adjustment to work around this problem, and you should find things are working as expected once again.
Apologies for the issues, hotfixing capabilities allow us to make changes quicker, but we’re still working on getting the tech that powers hotfixing super solid.
Hope everyone is having a great week, cheers!
Read moreJust a fix for a client crash that was occurring frequently enough for us to want to fix it quickly.

Hey folks, we have a fix for this that we're looking to roll out soon. Sorry for the mayhem, but hopefully you're having some fun with it too. Cheers!
Edit: the fix is rolling out now and should be complete over the next couple hours.
Also it should go without saying but I’ll be explicit here, this post wasn’t a license to abuse the bug. Over the lifetime of a live game bugs happen, and sometimes like with this case, they’re memorable and fun. A Timthetatman clip from yesterday is a great example of that. If you exploit a bug like this one, especially repeatedly, there could be penalties applied to your account.
Cheers
Posting my edit as a new reply as well so it’s picked up by any trackers.

Read moreI won't go into detail on how to reproduce this bug, but it can be applied to the whole team (a five stack was doing this in a QP game I was in). However, I've found it quite hard to consistently fly with this, and it also goes away once you die. It cannot be reapplied afterwards.
Hey there thanks for reporting this. If you DM me any details I’ll pass it along to QA while we work on a fix.
Cheers
Never too late, choo choo.
