Just wanted to offer a little piece of feedback too: my personal favorite winter skins are Snow Day, where it's just champs in the winter gear! It's one of the more casual skin lines which i really appreciate Edit: a typo

Hi, here's my personal take as someone who LOVES the winter skins. Skins like Frozen Prince Mundo that have a slightly more "general" theme and quality chromas are among my favorites and something I use all year. Skins like Snow Faun Poppy are lovely too, but feel better to use during the holidays. I urge you guys to revisit the Snowdown skins and keep trying new things like you did last year!

Random unsolicited and probably non-representative opinion: my interest in Snowdown skins dropped quite a bit once Snowdown stopped really being an event (Poro King dropped for example). Snowdown skins are nice but it's so much easier to want them when it feels like League Christmas is a special time, and recently League Christmas has just been skins for me.
Appreciate the caveats as well as the feedback. :)
I just have a small note about this (obviously you know the stats better than I) but I think "winter" themed skins like Soraka's would be more popular than pure "Christmas/ Santa" skins for snow down. So maybe do more generic themed ones like that instead, because that skin really is so gorgeous.
But each cycle you can do one or two fun ones like Kandy Kayn and Christmas Eve.

Any champion that has additional complexity (models, animations, VFX, transformations) usually results in additional complexity for their skins. We’re getting better at building content in ways that make it easier to touch up or build upon in the future, but also in order to push the envelope and make a champion that’s truly fresh gameplay / fantasy wise, we have to make something that’s complex for future skins. ;)
Ah gotcha, could I also ask if you and Adriaan are going to still put out some messaging for Eternals and Prestige skins for 2020
We’ll be announcing the roadmap of Prestige skins for the first half of 2020 come January. Also we’ve been making a bunch of changes to Eternals that you’ll hear about come the start of 2020.
Just wanted to give a little bit of feedback here, i know im just one person and it probably does not matter, but i played a few games of Braum in earlier seasons and got the Santa Braum skin in "your shop" i think.
Naturally i always played this skin when i picked Braum because it was the only one i had, but after a while it felt weird to pick "Santa Braum" in the middle of summer and i didnt feel like the effects fit to the usual summoners rift.
I love the concept behind those skins though and i hope they make a return eventually.
Appreciate the feedback MegaBaum. Like Star Guardians in 2018, sometimes it can be really healthy to take a year off from a skin line. Helps us reset or reorient thematically and take our time to identify something that either changes things up or hits harder on the elements of a thematic that players really enjoy.

Snowdown skins have been fairly polarizing from a results and engagement perspective. We’re taking a break from Snowdown skins this year and trying something different.

Yes. Snowdown historically hasn’t been the most popular skin line, and even the most purchased Snowdown skins don’t see a high amount of usage from players that own them. (Not even during the winter / snowdown season)
This year we wanted to try something new. Looking forward to hearing more feedback once everyone can experience Nightbringer / Dawnbringer and Sugar Rush in-game.
Also to note: This doesn’t mean that Snowdown will never return, but we need to spend more time understanding what works or doesn’t work with that thematic before we bring it back.
Yes you got it wrong . For a substitute player to get a skin he needs to play 2 groupstage games or 1 knockout games .
For a player to get a skin for a specific champ he needs to play a champ at least once.

Every patch we push content to PBE and then examine and parse the feedback from players. Sometimes there are simple adjustments that are easy to do and our teams are happy to change them.
Other times there are larger changes that require more time than we have available before we ship the patch or introduce such large changes that it creates new additional risks to the successful delivery and overall quality / stability of the content.
We’re always trying to do the best we can, and it’s when players provide really productive feedback that’s solution oriented, thats when collaboration between players and devs are at its best.
