This looks awesome!
Curious, how is this any different than the old Paracer platform build that was explicitly ruled to be against CoC? Perhaps some clarification on "platform builds that block damage to tames." And yes, I read that it says prevent damage entirely, but let's be real here. These builds are, for practical purposes, preventing damage entirely. Turrets cannot shoot it, and even small alterations to the design can ensure that it doesn't matter what turret setup you have, you will never be damaged, and you will never be fully encase (as the CoC specifies.) Either blocking damage is allowed or it's not, but getting obscenely specific (as the CoC has) is basically saying, go ahead and build a box around your tame, just make sure there's at least one hole that it can be damaged through and you are good to go.
That is exactly what the rule is saying. The rule was to prevent people from making invincible platform dinos not specifically against turrets. The current rules also disallow sinking foundations on platforms.
It looks like there was an issue with cloud saves not getting wiped before the reset. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to wipe the servers to keep them clean but everything should be fresh now.
Even better if you have extinction (the DLC), there is a crapton of those and better chances of finding a higher level.
Based on the numbers I'm looking at you're much more likely to find Spinos on Extinction > Rag > Island = Center
If you don't mind them being aberrant, Aberration is best.
Where did Valor say that? I would love to be able to bring evidence.
It is fine.
The build can be shot from all angles but above. As such it is not against the Code of Conduct.
A lot of info will print in the command screen. On PC i hit tab to open just the single input bar, and tab again to make it cover half the screen so i can see more then one line.
This is correct. That command can send out a LOT of spam depending on what size of tribe it is used on so I set it to go to the console to avoid breaking the chat window. The downside is that I'm not sure that you can see that on Xbox/PS4.
today, looks like :)
gj guys
Huzzah!
"I'm the kind that keeps
pokingbreaking databases untilthey reveal their secretsPanda comes to fix them". Fixed that for you
As I was reading this I was like "this sounds like some kind of Panda propaganda". Then I saw the poster. Get outta here.
Sounds like my MO at work...poke databases. Wanted to burn those databases down this afternoon tho lol.
That's what my queries do...
You're right, it does provide player level and name at a distance when you press X. That's a neat function, but seems almost PvP exclusive in its uses. None the less, I had no idea so thanks.
Shame it doesn't do anything like that for dinos too.
That's a neat idea though. I'll mention it.
Best of luck in getting it sorted out. I'm not sure how, but it must be a doozy of a bug for it to take this long to get figured out.
Lucky me, I'm not the bug fixing kind of dev. I'm the the kind that keeps poking databases until they reveal their secrets. Lucky you, someone way smarter than me is working on it.
build a raft or they will get eaten by sharks or drown. you also have to be close to them or they will not follow
You don't have to be THAT close but you definitely can't just fly off. Once you're out of range they'll just chill and become fish food in the water.
Raft is definitely the best plan imo.
Weaponizing my friends has always been something that interests me. Please elaborate on this Tek People Cannon.
That thing looks crazy. Tell your interior decorator they did a great job.
Something people don't seem to know about Scouts is that you can press X (on PC, I don't know the console button equivalent) to show the target player's ID and some other info I believe.
Go on...
D:
It has been reported countless times. You can't do anything, except waiting for a fix by devs.
This glaring bug appeared during Homestead beta, but for an unknown reason devs ignored reports and released Homestead (v293.100) without first fixing it. So here we are, 3 patches later and still no fix. Just wait, as everybody else.
I know we're aware of it and working on it though I don't have any updates on when a fix is going out.
Do you use something like Splunk to aggregate logs and run searches?
I had my first peek at the log files lastnight and immediately started thinking of different things to track for my private servers.
We use Tableau for some views but we also use some other tools I made to find answers from the data. :)
There sure is quite a bit, I couldn't imagine going through all the official servers!
It's only a few million rows a day.
