Agents, we wanted to share some updates on our progress we’re making to address issues that have been reported by our community and also the balance changes we mentioned on State of the Game last week.
Before we jump into the details we also wanted to address that we are constantly working on several issues at the same time with different teams and that some fixes or changes require more time to setup, test and patch. This means that some changes to smaller issues that might not impact as many players will be coming first, while other, more impactful changes need a bit more time.
As you know we deployed a new update last Tuesday that implemented several fixes, including a change to fix the infinite loading screen loop players experienced in the Dark Zone. Additionally we made some changes that have improved the long waiting times when matchmaking for activities. We are now working on the next update, which we internally call TU8.4 and are planning to release this as soon as ... Read more

This is incredible. Very nicely done (and beautifully organized to boot). I'll bookmark this and be sure to redirect those looking for this info to the thread.

Thank you for putting it together in such an easily digestible way.

We are now planning to deploy the maintenance at 6:45pm CET / 12:45pm ET / 9:45am PT and include the following changes:
  • Fixed an issue causing players to be locked out of their inventory under certain circumstances.
  • Reduced the amount of XP earned from failing the Target Practice activity to prevent an exploit.
  • Reduced the XP gained from multikills.
  • Increased Specialization Points rewarded from Bounties and Projects.
  • Fixed Blueprint reward preview in Projects not showing correctly.
Estimated downtime: 30 minutes. Read more

Field Research is still possible for the automatically unlocked Specializations but it will unlock unique cosmetics rather than the Spec. However, it sounds like this is an issue beyond just that.

If possible, please take a screenshot or screencap of the Specialization selection screen and pass the info along to Ubisoft Support.

Hey everyone,
My name is Dan and Ill be stepping in as the newest Community Manager for The Division 2. Ive been on these forums and The Division specifically for a while now and am happy, humbled, and honored to be able to announce this to you now. Heres to one of the best and coolest communities Ive ever seen, and I hope together we can elevate The Division 2 and your passion for it even further.

I'd have to agree on the Cleaners for similar reasons. Plus the thematic contrast of the flamethrowers against the snow covered NYC in The Division was haunting in its own way.

The problem that I'm seeing is that we do not get enough keys to open apparel caches. Kinda to force us to buy premium currency. I wish we had options to find clothes in game like Div1.

The current cashes are so diluted with crap it's hard sometimes to RNG some good clothes. Also why do we get Exp for duplicates, why not E-credits?

Keep in mind the upcoming Textiles implementation. (Full info)

Duplicates will give a standalone currency that can be used to buy specific apparel instead of XP.

Welcome aboard, Agent. Glad to hear you're enjoying your time so far. You're in the meat of it now with the World Tiers, and with more missions awaiting you in WT5!

How does new gear, weapons, exotics, etc fit into this paradigm I wonder?

If you simply mean no additional overhauls on a similar scale as this update, that's understandable... But no balance or other gear improvements?

Smoothb10

Yes but the skills output increases at every tier. So you can still use skills even if your not running a full 6 set. The only thing that’s really changing is having max skill damage and near max weapons damage at the same time.

This should have never been possible to begin with, any division 1 veteran could tell you this.

Pretty much. Now truly dedicated skill builds will indeed require 6/6 gear pieces to be veered towards skills. How they further boost specific skills remains to be seen, but it makes every piece important to add - or a serious sacrifice (depending on the desired build).

Maybe it's the dutch angle... but I was ready for this to zoom in down the alley with some intense voice over talking about the fall of man. Great photo.

This is fantastic... wonderful mood and lighting and... everything. Nicely done.

Oh, yea! I know that, I was specifically meaning the completion award after getting all of the apparel event stuff. For Invasion it was the Black Tusk Heavy Visor and for Silent Night it's the Winter fur hat. It says in the tutorials that you only can get those while the event is active and I had a glimmer of hope they'd come around again.

Gotcha, I must've missed that detail. Yes, the exclusive 'completion' items are constrained to the event. We've got no official plans of repeating Apparel Events at the moment, as we'd rather have new events rather than repeat the old.

On the bright side, you've got the remainder of the month in order to try and complete it!

Shiro2809

Ah, that's a bummer. And it's mostly me being a completionist that it'll bug me for awhile, lol. Thanks for the answer!

To briefly clarify the answer here...

Apparent Event items will make their way into the Standard Apparel Cache pool after a delay following the end of the Event. They are by no means impossible to get, but you will find them far easier to obtain while the event is still going on.

This is true of the current Silent Night event as well as all previous Apparel Events.

Thanks, I will buy it then and I'm excited to see how it is

Then welcome to The Division, Agent. Keep us updated on your journey!

In the instances where EasyAntiCheat doesn't automatically catch cheaters, we appreciate any reports made either via the in-game system or through Ubisoft Support. From there we can conduct our own investigation and take the appropriate actions.

More than anything else I'm just so curious as to what all the different builds you're making are.

These are fabulous, very well done.
