Just out of curiosity: If you don't mind sharing, what is the technical reason for clickbox issues like this?

It's likely something related to the BAS the NPC is using.

BAS stands for 'Base anim set' and contains things like locomotion and idle animations. It sometimes occurs that an idle anim being played offsets, thins out, or even expands the original clickzone.

Ha, came across this yesterday and raised it within the internal QA channel.

It had already been bugged and a fix made.

with it saying the chests will be dropped in order, does the one you get first happen randomly? Just asking out of curiosity because if it is always the same order, surely those at the end of the order will be vastly more expensive.

First one you get is still random to ensure there isn't a weighting to the 4

Don't really have an update on when it will go out, but can provide some clarity

• Work is done, code review is also done. I've given our lovely QA a very sweet request, however we're closing in on the last few game updates before the end of the year and everyone is very busy
• Drop rate to get a chest will be 1/1024, down from 1/5000 (A lot of internal discussion on droprates with Mod Jack, etc)
• First 4 chests will drop in order
• Anyone with gaps in their log will have it filled whenever they next roll a chest, then random from that point onwards
• It's sadly never as simple as "We'll just get that out in the next update."
• It's weird to be referred to by my first name

Did the work for this on post-release week for the new capes + Zuk Capes.

I just chased the status of the job and it looks like it got a little lost somewhere. Have given it a prod and requested it makes the RC build as it's a fix from a recent update.

There's no there's no need for that here. Luma did his job. He fixed my bug. An then went above and beyond by contacting me personally as well as on Reddit once he had a release date. Beyond that, he replied to one of my forum posts letting me know he was working on it

U/mod_miva has been passing all my posts and DMS onto the bug team for over a month. u/jagexluma went out of his way ,and at some point on personal time, to fix a bug that was only affecting ONE player . AND TO TOP IT OFF u/jagexramen went out of his way to MOVE ONE PLAYERS BUG FIX UP THE QUEUE ONCE IT WAS TESTED.

So please, on my posts, don't harass mods. They don't deserve it. Be mad at jagex that it takes this much effort, and this much squeaking to get a bug fixed, but don't harass mods. These guys have full time jobs who's description is NOT "fix 1mj0sh1ngy0u's bug right the fudge. Now" even as much as I would like it to be. It's not. Coding is hard. Jagex made up their own coding language, that language is still in game today. My account is older than dirt. There's heaps of reasons this could have gone wrong, and a mod took the time to fix that.

You know for a fact this isn't something they missed. It was absolutely intentional but will be patched after a week probably lol.

This is the truth. QA did raise it, but it really wasn't worth the fix. Especially considering all the great content we get from reddit regarding it.
