Two design critiques:

LMS lobby: Do not give it floors. Make it separate 3 enclosures like it currently is, that way people can easily see if there are enough players to start a comp game, or if it makes more sense to play casual instead without having to go up ladders so see how many people are there.

Ferox Bridges: They may look nice, but get rid of the bridge. It is a natural choke point. I am willing to bet money people will use the bridges to set up multi/dd lures which will turn noobs away from the PVP content there. Or at least make them and the surrounding area singles.

Also I'm not sure about having a wilderness spawn, hopefully that doesn't make it easier to rag in the wilderness if the pking hot spots change.

Thanks for the concerns, to answer the lobby being split. We initially wanted it to be one floor, you can see all, but the amount of space that would take up would mean the enclave would have a much larger footprint, which isn't what we wanted, so a nice compromise is having it split to 3 and to have the UI updated to show which game mode is busy :)

Can you look into why it would give an error of not having the correct items to use the bowl when I had over 2000 shards and a blade of saeldor in my inventory?

What is your Smithing and Crafting level?

Crystal singing has always required Smithing and Crafting levels, we matched it to 82 to be in line with the requirements for other crystal singing items.

You can however, make it without the requirements, for an additional 500 crystal shards.

I tried to use on the bowl, I was given a message that I didn't have all the necessary items, which made no sense; after several combinations of using shards/blade on bowl, I ended up using the npc. There was no warning given that npc would charge an additional 50% Had I known I wouldn't have used npc.

Apologies for that, we'll add in the increased cost in next weeks update.

In the past npc's have charged half the cost to imbue in shards

Did you imbue it via the nearby NPC? If so she charges an additional 500 shards

I'm curious to know why it's 1/100 in the wilderness, instead of 1/75 (in line with hill giants; 1/128 normally & 1/64 in wildy)

The thinking is:
On Task - 1 in 50
In wildy - 1 in 100
Other wise - 1 in 150

Thanks, Oasis. It just seems a bit inconsistent with the way Hill Giant key drops work in the wilderness - their drop rate is half of the non-wildy drop. Why wasn't the moss giant drop changed to 1/75?

As a middle ground between the two.

I have it in my inventory along with 1006 shards and it says I do not have the required materials to make anything. My blade has 17,199 charges to be precise idk if that could effect it trying to round down

Do you have 82 smithing and crafting? If not you need 1500 to charge it with the npc

It seems the blade isn't able to charge currently. Please help? I have 1k shards and am at a bowl with a blade that has 257 charges.

Do you have the required levels? 82 smithing and 82 crafting

im trying to make the new blade. I have 1k crystal shards and a blade charged with 17k charges but its saying i dont have the required materials. I assume because its not uncharged its not working but the blog said we would get crystals back for the charges, but i cant make it?

Could you give some more information? I've tried replicated with a Blade of Saeldor, put in 170 shards worth of charges as well as 1000 shards in my inventory and it seems to have worked.

You'll need to weapon in your inventory to charge it

Is the permanent blade of saeldor tradeable and is it possible to uncharge it? If you can uncharge it, then do you get your shards back?

It is untradeable, you can uncharge it but you don't get your shards back when you uncharge it

Any charges currently stored in the blade, will be converted to their shard value and used to charge the blade, rounded down.

Presumably this will only work for the amount currently held in the blade and won't "remember" how many you've previously added?

Still a nice idea, I've got around 14k charges in mine at the moment so don't want to burn through them if this works!

Yep, It can only be done on what's currently in the weapon. If you charge to infinite, that'll be lost. My recommendation for if you've got a large amount in there is to use them up so you don't lose them, then turn it to infinite when you've got around 1000 shards worth

Any info on what happens if you already have 19000 charges? Ive been avoiding using my blade bcuz of this.

Currently you only make the infinite version from an uncharged Blade of Saeldor, however I've seen feedback for it to work with the charged version, which is a fair thing to do and shouldn't be too bad to implement. With that in mind, this is my proposal for how it should work. With the current sword, when uncharged loses all its charges, if you converted your blade to the infinite version and it holds more than 1000 crystal shards worth, you'll lose any shards over that 1000 value. If it has less than 1000 crystal shards worth in charges, you'll need to have the difference in your inventory.

Rather than buffing the Desert diary a tiny bit, why not nerf the underlying issues with the POH being so overpowered?

What changes do you envision for the PoH?
