Hedge is no longer working at Fatshark, I’m afraid!

Regarding support for Linux (and the Steam deck) I’m afraid that our stance so far is that we have no official support and that we can’t afford to focus resources on adding that support. It’s possible that we revisit this stance in the future, but we can’t make any promises.

Gotcha, please do! And if it does bug out, please provide us with the console logs of the player who was acting as host.

Just in case, here’s how to upload your console logs to us:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload the appropriate console log to your forum post

Skeletons shouldn’t receive any friendly fire, if you’ve got a recording or some kind of evidence could you make a bug report on the forums? :pray:

We’re investigating the issue of enemies refusing to spawn, but have unable to reproduce it due to its inconsistency. If it happens again, please make a bug report and include the console log of the session where it happened (If you were hosting the game, the report and console log will be specially valuable!)

A bit late, but if it ever happens again, I have a vague memory of this being caused by having two instances of EAC active at the same time. Maybe you have/had a game that kept its anticheat or EAC open at all times by accident (it either failed to close or keeps starting on its own). So ye, if it happens again, might be worth taking a peek in task manager and seeing if something like that is happening.

Hotfix 5.1.2 (October 24th)

Tweaks

  • The Necromancer’s Icon of Death is no longer shown in the ally frame UI thingie, it’s now back to only showing whether the ally has a potion or not.

Fixes

  • Fixed the dummies in the Keep being too fat and having big collisions.
  • Fixed hot join crash if a Ranger Veteran with the ‘Exhilirating Vapours’ used their ability that session.
  • Fixed Bardin being able to stealth infinitely with the ‘Surprise Guest’ talent by re-entering the ability.
  • Fixed Ranger Veteran with ‘Exhilirating Vapours’ talent showing the wrong amount of ability stacks.
  • Fixed small enemies swallowing bombs when thrown at them.
  • Fixed occasional frame perfect host crash when a defend command is issued the frame before an attack command swing finishes.
  • Fixed bug where Necromancer lost Icon of Death upon drinking a Potion of Endless Bombs. You can all play Chaos Wastes again!

Not a bug! When using the ‘Dread Seneschal’ talent, you can issue both a ‘Defend’ and ‘Attack’ command at the same time. When you do, the Sword and Shield skeletons will stay and defend the spot, while the greathammer skeletons will charge.

Hello! We’re still investigating this issue! In the meantime, we’ve found that this bug was caused by claiming the Daily Reward while in Offline Mode, so if you avoid doing that you should avoid losing your cosmetics.
Rest assured that any cosmetics you’ve already lost won’t really be lost and you’ll recover them once the fix is patched in.

We just pushed out a hotfix patch for Xbox, (releasing on PS4 shortly) including a fix for the progression issue! Here are the patchnotes:

Tweaks

  • The Icon of Death no longer shows a outline on sacrifice target skeletons unless hovering them. Sacrificing skeletons without hovering them picks the oldest skeleton.

Fixes

  • Fixed console progression being reset.
  • Fixed the overcharge VFX not showing up on Necromancer for other clients.
  • Fixed crash when skeletons attacked a Gutter Runner while all heroes were invisible.
  • Fixed bug where “Mistress of the Stave” challenge worked on non-elite enemies.
