If you can submit a bug report in-game, that would be hugely helpful for tracking this down. Doing so sends us a package of information about your system that includes details about your sound hardware and drivers that might matter.
Press F12 and choose Report Bug once you’re in the game.
We do not guarantee a response to bug reports. Generally, you should use a bug report when you are telling us about a bug (as you did) but not when you require a response, such as if you need assistance with your account. In this instance, the problem you reported is a known issue, and we track those using a different system than the one used for bug reports, so your bug report was closed.
I’m definitely selective in that I do my best to only answer questions when I’m sure of the answer. Since I’m usually not sure, I usually don’t say anything.
If you are looting, whether by dragging or by clicking “loot all,” and the looted items are marked with a red dot, that is probably a defect. Please submit an in-game bug report and the team can take a look.
Regarding drawing issues in Fullscreen mode on the MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019):
This issue appears to be resolved by the update to MacOS 10.15.3. If you experience any graphic issues after applying the 10.15.3 update, please submit a bug report and we’ll investigate.

Reading my last post, it might seem like I was implying that you should already have known about that setting because of the existing thread. That wasn’t my intent; I just wanted to share some information that might put the issue in context.
I think there may also be a separate setting that allows clicking on either side of the trackpad to be treated like left and right mouse buttons. Might be worth checking whether that works for you with “tap to click” turned off. (I will check on this and come back and edit this post when I get an opportunity.)
The issues regarding right-clicking have to do with a switch we made to use the main branch of Wine rather than retain our own branch. We consulted players about this in May, 2019, and here’s the feedback thread.
As that thread indicates, you can enable “Secondary Click” in Trackpad Options to allow right-clicking using part of the trackpad or a special gesture (usually two fingers on the trackpad when clicking.)
Current right-click behavior in the Mac client is not a bug, but a known choice to use an unmodified Wine implementation without CCP-specific key assignments.

When selecting certain resolutions in “Fullscreen” mode, you may experience severe display problems. Waiting several seconds to restore your old settings may help.
Workaround: In the graphics settings menu (reached by pressing Esc) select “Windowed” or “Fixed Window” mode with an appropriate resolution instead of “Fullscreen.”
It’s absolutely, positively forbidden to use our developer access in any way remotely like that.
These changes are only notable in the Eve community because of the history regarding these rules and how they came to be in the first place. Twelve years ago CCP was a young company lacking internal controls and it caused serious problems that some people today still remember vividly. This is just part of the process of moving on from that.
Beyond that, I agree, it’s not really a big deal.
Don’t get the point of the first one. Are you concerned that CSM and developers might communicate?
As for the second, I think that’s a somewhat bizarre restriction. In particular, I think (from my own experience) that participating in tournaments would be a unique learning opportunity for developers that would expose them to subtle gameplay that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the game.
- Note that that doesn’t mean flying in the tournament, but even participating in the preparation, etc. would be valuable. I agree that developers shouldn’t be collecting prizes from CCP, for example.

I’ve never known a single CCPer who cared much about in-game politics, regardless of where their characters were.
Generally, we’re playing on our own characters, just like everyone else, and skilling up the normal ways (and if we want skill injectors we buy them with our own money.)
We do have more flexibility for gameplay conducted to serve a business purpose, but (as has already been the case with this kind of thing) our Internal Affairs department will be involved from the beginning to make sure we don’t distort the game world when doing so.
My comment only referred to the animation package for 3D characters, although there might be a slight impact for other assets as well.
Regarding availability of a 32-bit Wine client, have you upgraded to MacOS Catalina 10.15? If so, 32-bit applications no longer work at all due to Apple removing OS-level support for them. MacOS versions 10.14 and earlier should still allow choosing a 32-bit client.
This is a side-effect of optimizing certain animation files for 64-bit systems. If you are running on a 32-bit system, there can be a noticeable delay and CPU spike while the data is loaded.
If you’re currently experiencing this issue and you’re running a 64-bit client (which should be the default), please submit a bug report.
If you are running a 32-bit client and find the delay objectionable, you can collapse the avatar header so that it won’t load your 3D avatar when you open the character sheet.
