It's not necessary to attack the OP for the question. Maybe it was buried in the options or obscurely hidden :P
But no, there is no AFK mechanic.
Heroes!
We've just put out a patch for the 1.6 BETA.
  • Fixed crash that could occur on levels when clients interacted with level objects.
  • Fixed crash that could occur when joining someone on the defaul game from the beta.
  • Fixed issue with not being able to apply illusions.
  • Fixed issue with only one player being able to pickup ravaged art scraps.
To start over you need to message our helpdesk at Fatshark.se/support
Going to need more information on those, spuddy, ZEN. Not saying they're not on our radar but I can't really be sure without more details.
Those affected could try the latest 1.6 beta (see the sticky thread for details) to see if the patch resolves their issues.

Heroes!
We're incredibly excited to announce the first expansion for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - introducing a brand new enemy faction and new challenges to the game.
As a meteor crashes down in the Reikland, the Beastmen emerge from the depths of the Reikwald forest and rush to the epicenter to claim it as a Herdstone. It is up to the 5 heroes to stop them before a dreadful disaster strikes the Empire.

KEY FEATURES
  • New Enemy Faction: Beastmen
  • New Higher Difficulty
  • Raised Level Cap
  • 5 New Weapons
  • New Adventure Level
  • New Game Mode: Winds of Magic - Bring your friends and try to complete a new set of challenges with increasing difficulties in the weaves of the eight Winds of Magic.

You can find out heaps more information over on PC Gamer (linked below), and we'll of course be talking more about this in the coming week as we celebrate the 1-Year Anniversary of Vermintide 2.

There's a bug with the shotties right now, a couple in fact. as opposed to secret changes they're just unintended bugs we've fixed and are waiting to patch out :)
Please remove the caps from the title.
Run DX11 or potentially fiddle with a character shading setting (the name escapes me and I'm not at my desk)
Originally posted by VladimirIlich: Sadly this still not fixed. Character looks so bad this way, why keep it unfixed?
We don't plan on keeping it unfixed :P
We've solved it internally but it's not the kind of thing we need to rush out in a hotfix.
It's a known bug with the DX12 implementation.
We're looking to add something artsy for the CE. Also:

Do not call for Devs in your title Let your thread stand on it's own merit and if a developer or CM has something to share, update or inform about - they will. Threads calling on devs, or calling out devs may be locked.

Originally posted by J.P.: so was the way it was before 1.5 some issue because it was perfect? these menus appeared to scale to the resolution set or was it due to as you mentioned that you thought that people wanted this?
The menus didn't scale with UI at all, the higher the resolution, the smaller they got. We heard a lot of people feedback on higher resolutions that they wanted it to scale appropriately. This patch simply corrects that incorrect behaviour of there being no scaling. Read more

BTW if you got problems like that you should post them in the bug section of this this board.
for things like this, a support ticket and partnered log would be ideal, since they're so hard to reproduce a log is pretty much essential in helping us pin it down.
Originally posted by Wildcard69: It should be possible to change the size of these menus to 70% of their current size (or smaller). Previously they were about half the size (and it was fine) now they take up nost of the screen. It's fine to "fix" for people that think they are too small but it seems there are a lot of people that wanted them even smaller then they were before 1.5 .
I'll speak to our UI guy, but it's not industry normal to have options to resize menus and such. HUD sometimes (but rarely truth be told), but menus, overlays or such - pretty much not a thing. Look at some industry leaders and they scale UI and HUD almost entirely on resolution, like we do today in 1.5. We'll be offering additional scaling on the slider, from 70% to 50%, but this wont affect things like the inventory or Okri's book interface (and so on), but it will apply to HUD elements including chat in the next update.
We might be able to make additional change down the line, we might not, we'll ... Read more
