As a fellow (sometimes) Thermite main, I don't think he's a better hard breacher, but will work in tandem with both him and Hibana. Thermite is still the quickest and most effective hard breacher. Ace can get bandit/impact tricked very easily and needs two SELMA charges to get hatches, as opposed to one cluster of Hibana pellets.

Also fun fact, here's how long it takes for Ace to finish his breaches in comparison to other existing hard breachers:Wall Breach:
Ace (full breach) - 12 sec.
Thermite - 3 sec.Reinforced Hatch Breach:
Hibana - 5 sec.
Ace (reinforced hatch) 6 sec.
