Correct; in order to lower frustration by players using the exploit, the devs disabled her temporarily to sort the issue out. While it is definitely frustrating to not have an operator to play, it is better than being killed unfairly by someone using an exploit.

That could be a possible solution! I'm afraid I don't have that sort of insight, as that would be up to the boffins on the Dev team. I can see about making that suggestion as a possible fix. :)
