This is something I thought might be a nice balance for Echo's drone specifically.
Considering how he's banned in all of my matches (I'm bouncing between Silver 3 and 1). I definitely know it's because of his drone and the ability to stop plants while being completely off site.
*Take this with a grain of salt, as I have no idea how echo is played in the higher ranks*
Knowing he's a pain to deal with during the last 10-15 seconds of a round, I feel a decent rework would be to allow for cool Downs in between echo blasts, for instance 8 seconds. Long enough to stop one plant, but not long enough to constantly stop planting.
I do understand that Echo has a total of 10 charges (5 per drone), but most lower rank players wait until the end of the round to use any of their charges, resulting in a constant plant refusal.
Or while still incapacitating attackers, removing the ability to cancel plant animations.
I would love to hear everyone's ideas and possible debate on this.
Interesting balancing idea! From our Designer Notes, Echo is banned about 67% of the time in Plat+ games. Echo is often used to help disrupt plants, so I think having it so Echo can only technically use one blast per plant would help. Do you think Echo has any other frustrating aspects to play against?
