Watch two (2) hours to earn the Coastal Name Card to customize your career profile. Then watch three (3) more hours to earn the “You won’t sink my battleship!” voice line for Torbjörn. Finally, watch four (4) more hours on top of that to unlock the Captain Legendary skin for Torbjörn. You must claim each drop before you can start to progress toward earning the next reward.

WELCOME TO SEASON 6 FOR COMPETITIVE PLAY IN OVERWATCH 2!

Season 6 of Competitive Play is here!

Competitive Play is designed for those players who want to put their skills to the test and offers a more serious experience than our Quick Play or Arcade Modes. Players new to Overwatch 2 will unlock access to Competitive Play when they complete the Competitive Play Qualification challenge by winning 50 unranked games.

GETTING STARTED

Before you can kick off your competitive career, every player will be required to win five games to obtain their seasonal skill division for their selected Competitive Play mode. Within the standard Role Queue competitive mode, players will earn a separate skill division for each role in Competitive Play, for a total of three distinct skill divisions. There is a separate skill division for Open Queue and other competitive modes as well. Greetings Heroes! The new Overwatch 2: Animated Short, “Calling,” featuring Sojourn, is now live exclusively on the Overwatch 2 game client. In the shadow of the coming Null Sector invasion, Sojourn confronts her past and shows the world who she truly is.

As we wrap up this season and head into Overwatch 2: Invasion, we’d like to share some information regarding hero lifetime challenges.

Right now, there are lifetime challenges for each of the heroes, and completing those challenges unlocks player icons. These lifetime challenges and player icons will be integrated into the new player progression system when Overwatch 2: Invasion launches, but any current progress on these lifetime challenges will not transfer over into the new player progression system.

You will keep any previously earned rewards from completing the lifetime challenges moving into the new system. You can still complete the hero lifetime challenges until the end of season five.
