I was actively logged into three accounts as I normally am. I typically play all the accounts on the same world, and the world I was on was lagging terribly. For example, this world had 100 players in it when worlds in the same region at the same time all had 200+ players. So on my main that I was actively doing combat in, I hopped worlds to a more populated world in the same region, hoping it was just that server. I left the alts on the laggy world (main was no longer lagging at all after switching) for a few more minutes until they got disconnected.
I try to log back in and both alt accounts were locked. I start to panic as I have seen people in this sub talk about their accounts being locked when playing multiple accounts at once and the new Crumb video scared me a bit as well. So I try to start the recovery process and it was hanging up on the redirect portion after you type in the account email or username. Once I managed to get to the next page after a bunch of tries, I typed all the recovery info in and submitted. I got an email back almost immediately saying the request was denied for the first account before I could even start the recovery on the second locked account.
Needless to say, something is going on with Jagex's services at the moment. After much panic, I randomly tried to log in to the locked accounts again and they are now no longer "locked" and able to play. I was really worried that I had lost a ton of my time on those accounts and no longer feel safe playing multiple accounts at once, which is the only way I enjoy the game. Does anyone think we'll get any statements from mods about playing multiple accounts from the same computer with the recent Crumb video? To be crystal clear: I am not a multi-boxer, I perform each action on each client manually and don't use any key or click replicating software. The only thing non-vanilla that I use is Runelite for all the accounts and use no custom unapproved plugins for it.
