I'll just ask now tbh: Would this even be possible to do without tons of engine work?
Though there are some technical limitations as you'd noted, this is very similar to a league idea we discussed a few days ago for potentially doing some time in the future :). Really glad to see community ideas like this for leagues so keep them coming. Would love to have a player-designed league at some point.
