Happy New Year!

As we wrap up 2019, we’d like to wish you the merriest of holidays. Our offices will be closed for the remainder of the year as we take some time off to spend the holidays with our friends and family.

Many of us remain on call for any urgent issues. Our Customer Support team will continue to answer the tickets you submit during this time, and our scheduled regular maintenance will happen on December 25 and January 1.

The maintenance schedule for Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1 are:

Latency is substantially better now. I cannot say if its perfect, because it has been a while, but so far it is acceptable -- and whoever is saying it is not has some other agenda.

The server performance since the hotfix last week had reduced the server CPU usage by more than 50%, so you should not experience any of those latency issues that were started back in August.

Game servers will be down for maintenance beginning Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at 5 a.m. PST /  7 a.m. CST / 8 a.m. EST  / 2 p.m. GMT+1 and will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour.

With this maintenance:

• Standard database maintenance and application restarts will be performed.
• Ruldolph’s Holiday Event will be available for the next 2 weeks.
• Holiday Server Settings will be available for the next 2 weeks:
  • XP/SP Boost + 50%
  • No XP Loss Upon Death
  • Augmentation Removal Fee = 0 Adena
  • Raid Boss Spawn Time Reduced by 50%
• The Blizzard Chill Box and a selection of Holiday items will be in the L2 Store for the next 2 weeks.

Game servers will be down for maintenance beginning Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at 5 a.m. PST /  7 a.m. CST / 8 a.m. EST / 2 p.m. GMT+1 and will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour. 

With this maintenance:

• Standard database maintenance and application restarts will be performed.
• Lucy and Rok’s Holiday Event will be available for the next two weeks.
• Holiday Server Settings are available for the next two weeks:
  • XP/SP Boost + 50%
  • No XP Loss Upon Death
  • Augmentation Removal Fee = 0 Adena
  • Raid Boss Spawn Time Reduced by 50%
• Freya’s Fortune Stick items and the Ultimate Holiday Pack will be available for the next two weeks.

I spawned Dandy in town to give out a buff since the logins were temporarily unavailable.

The wrong expdata file from another region made it into the hotfix we received from the Dev team. We are working to revert it back now.

We are taking the servers down now.

We are investigating the issue now.

Game servers will be down for an unscheduled maintenance beginning Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1 p.m. PST /  3 p.m. CST / 4 p.m. EST / 10 p.m. GMT+1 and will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

With this maintenance:

• Potential fix for an issue where combat freezes when a character is auto-hunting
• Instance zones and timed hunting zones will be optimized for server performance
• The Holiday Trees from the Ultimate Holiday Pack will now have a 1 minute cooldown to prevent spam.

As a temporary measure, we will be adding a queue limit for the number of players connecting to the Live servers to reduce the latency delay. We are still waiting on the Dev team for the optimization fix.

Game servers will be down for maintenance beginning Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 5 a.m. PST /  7 a.m. CST / 8 a.m. EST  / 2 p.m. GMT+1 and will be unavailable for approximately 1 hours and 30 minutes.

With this maintenance:

• Standard database maintenance and application restarts will be performed.
• Ruldolph’s Holiday Event will be available for the next 3 weeks.
• Holiday Server Settings will be available for the next 3 weeks:
  • XP/SP Boost + 50%
  • No XP Loss Upon Death
  • Augmentation Removal Fee = 0 Adena
  • Raid Boss Spawn Time Reduced by 50%
• The Blizzard Chill Box and a selection of Holiday items will be in the L2 Store for the next 3 weeks.
