Gameplay thoughts this Friday will be covering mid/bot position power and a new “ranked seeding” matchmaking feature.
Keep hitting me with questions and requests, I try to focus on topics that I see lots of requests around.

It's such a cool feeling seeing the LoR, Valorant, and TFT teams just crushing it and making incredible games.
I'm so deep into LoL dev that it's cool to be surprised and wowed by the things going on in the company that are outside my radar.
Not to mention the teams making games that aren't yet out there in the world, even more amazing stuff that I'm proud to just be at the same studio with.

Patch 10.10 preview with some tentative changes.

Testing our first iteration of bot changes with both offense and defense. We're not going the direct XP route to keep the power focused on the carry instead of both carry and sup.
-Zeal +3% Attack speed
-RFC, PD, Shiv, Hurricane +5% Attack speed
-ADC Base Health +30; per lvl +5
It's a first set of changes, so expect things may change and we will do a tuning pass if the direction is good. These aren't going into 10.10 so we can take time iterating.
Mid changes aren't in yet, focusing on Bot first.
@Shafulyn Marksmen that are best outside of bot will probably need a different approach so that they dont take over their lanes.
Current plan is to apply it to all bot lane ADCs.

We're tweaking matchmaking configurations for very high MMR in EUW to match other regions. They should now prioritize closer MMR over slightly faster matches.

@sgchase88 Yes, planned for 10.11
Current plan for marksman base hp buffs is that they will apply to all bot laners except Lucian, Kalista, and Vayne.
Those three will get different changes that are more scaling focused to avoid the risk of them skewing solo lanes.

@ShaiKappa Division promos are like gold 3 to gold 2. We're not planning on removing promos from gold to plat etc. We think those are infrequent enough to not have the same frustration and they have a huge upside of allowing us to have a lot of demotion protections once you reach a new tier

It’s very early in the 10.11 patch but we saw an increase in Bot position power (ability to influence the game) and selection rate.
So far This is directionally hitting our goals so we’re going to let them settle and monitor over time.
Huge respect to @UziRNG, you had an unforgettable career. A pioneer for League esports and really put the carry in ADC.

We’re early testing on some Conqueror nerfs for 10.13
Max stacks 10 >>> 12
Adaptive per stack 2-5 >>> 1.7-4.2
Basically the same value at full stacks but a slightly longer ramp up. Emphasizes the longer fight patterns and less useful on bursty champs.

Testing Mid lane 10.13:
-Mid lane spawns a cannon every 3 >>> 4 waves for the first 15 min (after it's normal)
-Mid minions move slightly slower to the lane (reducing clear and roam potential)
Still evaluating these. The goal is to bring mid economy back to s9 level not below.
@jragon713 With our current tuning it’s the same time.
Side note, I'm a big fan of exposing our work to such a large audience even when it's still not fully solidified.
There is no sharper tool for us to check if we're on the right track than shining the light of day on it. Lucky to have an engaged community, might as well use it.
With the extra time we can:
1. Strike the right balance with mid lane roaming and influence
2. Build in long term systems that let us adjust position power more easily (avoid a situation like last preseason where we wanted to buff top but had to buff all solo lanes)

Our reasoning for the pivot is to avoid disrupting the pro game too significantly late in the season.
Also, draining resources from mid while not increasing roams was going to be hard to accomplish with simple fast changes. These goals push against each other.

@GodDerpes_Leona The theory is that when mid wave is synced up with the side waves its harder to time the roam. Currently you clear your wave mid and make it to a side lane in time for them still trying to farm.
There are a lot of other possible implications though, which we have to consider.

@buuckooo It’s just an image for the article showing that we’re going to upgrade and change a bunch of items. Lots of changes are still being worked on.
@gnofieB_hpoT Item sets are staying but they will mostly have a visual upgrade with the same usability.

We’re going through every class’s items and solving problems, filling needed gaps, and reworking old or unhealthy items.
So each class will have its own smaller set of goals and changes tailored to what they need.
We're going to be releasing a bunch more blogs and updates to you on how the item system update is going throughout the year.
Also our goal is to have a very extended (~6 weeks) PBE period to get as much testing, feedback, and iterations before the preseason launch.
