all the elements

Of course.

Well, it'll certainly be interesting seeing what appears (?) to be an AD Assassin with mage-like abilities. I think that's a first for League, unless I'm mistaken.

Edit: Leaked Splash Art & Champion Theme (?) from Weibo.

Well I mean Zed uses Shadow magic

EnemySaimo

Can she use magic to kill me or step on me irl?

She would gladly step on you. I imagine people would travel from great distances just to beg for her to step on them

OnlyAnEssenceThief

Oh god, what have you done Reav3. THE FANFICS ARE COMING

He knows what he did.

Rileaa

A new champion already? Yuumi only just came out

If you look historically you will notice that we generally have a larger amount of content releases in the summer time. This isn't coincidence as summer is when we have really high engagement due to it being summer vacation for students

This champion has stepped on me so many times in playtests.

RayFrost

Hey Reav3, which lane can we use her?

Read the last Champion roadmap :)

AceAxos

I like this rapid fire release of new champs

Feels like summer time ;)

Kind of weird to have a champion that comes from the jungle be a solo lane champion.

It reminds me of how Nidalee used to be a solo laner/support (which were very dark times to play with as an ADC). But now shes played as a Jungler which fits her theme more.

I mean Neeko is not a jungler

ShinyGrezz

hol up

There were only 3 champions released last year and in just the first half of this year we’ve got three new champs and 3 reworked? What’re the Riot team on rn?

Well we did a lot of VGUs last year, this year we are going back to doing more new champs then VGUs

MegaBaumTV

They said this for 2018. In the roadmap for 2019 they said they would slow down with reworks again

I feel like there's an important distinction here though. Zed's shadow magic is what allows him to do his dank assignations, but, outside of the ult- which still feels pretty physical, since you have to beat them up first for it to do anything- his magic is not the thing doing the assassinations; he's still the one introducing you to his very sharp friends. Contrast this with someone like Shikamaru Nara from Naruto, his shadow "magic" feels much more like a traditional mage's; but something like Kakashi's Raikiri feels very physical despite most of its potency coming from his chakra. I'm rambling, and I'm sure nothing I said here was new to you. And I get your point, I think! It was to illustrate that you guys know how to make a mage feel a physical damage dealer.

Oh, that giant ring blade is 100% the thing doing the assassinations

u/Reav3 Hey Reav3 you know who the lead designer for her might be ?

Stashu

CRTDView

Welp you just gave me a new main. Could you leak some info on her footwear? Sandals? Barefoot?

Sandals

r/qiyanamains is already a thing, i guess the theory of riot people making the subs before the champ announcement is true huh

Or it could be someone that came in and playtested her during development

Do you think Qiyana's kit does justice to her theme of 'elemental master' because it really is a very captivating theme.
I don't want to get my hopes high after how flat certain kits felt for a celestial dragon theme and also a stone weaver theme

I do, yes
