I lost several skins that I can no longer get back I have to repurchase them and I refuse to do that.

We’re sorry to hear about this. If you’re missing skins that you previously purchased with BB or as part of a DLC, please reach out to our customer support team at huntshowdown.com. They’ll be able to investigate and help resolve the issue for you.

Hunters,
We are back again to discuss a hot topic in any gaming community: monetization. With this post, we want to clarify our philosophy around monetization in Hunt: Showdown 1896 and provide transparency to how we have reached those decisions.
Ultimately, the key message we want you to take away is this: Our central goal with monetizing is to support live service operations, updates, and new content going forward.
We want to ensure our processes around monetization are fair and transparent, and we will discuss some instances where we missed the mark as well as some examples of successes. We acknowledge we do not always get it right on the first try, but it is important to us that you understand that the money you spend in-game funds all aspects of Hunt’s development and ongoing operations.
Base Game Sales
Earlier this year, we reduced the price of the base game globally—in some regions this reduction was as much as 30%. We made this decision to ensure Hunt was accessible and aff... Read more

Congrats, Hunter. Time to get that 4th star!

Traits are not entirely random. They are grouped to ensure a balanced and synergistic selection. One trait typically determines a group, and additional traits are then drawn from complementary pools. This system helps prevent combinations that don’t work well together while encouraging those that do. For example, certain traits like Ambidextrous and Quartermaster are designed to complement each other effectively.

The icons on your screen, from top to bottom, represent the following:

1️⃣ The first icon shows Scrapbeak as the boss, with no Bounty tokens picked up yet.
2️⃣ The second icon indicates an extra bounty token available in the middle of the map, purchasable for 2 Pledge Marks when available.
3️⃣ The third icon displays your current Event Points collected during the mission, along with your number of owned Pledge Marks (0 out of 4).

We've got another Developer Insight video for you, and this one is all about UI improvements.
After taking critical feedback from the community, we're working hard to streamline and improve the usability of this latest iteration.
Take a look and see for yourself.

We’re continuing to update and bring back more of the older cast. Keep an eye out for updates regarding this!

Taker of Trophies, our latest DLC, is now available to wishlist!
Skulls are the true mark of a Hunter's worth, greater than any story of slaughtered prey. Armed with Hidden Strike (Krag Sniper) and Liar's Bite (Sparks Pistol), Skull Taker has his fair share of trophies. Should he catch you in his traps... your skull will be next.

Hello, Hunters!
Today, we're pulling back the curtain to discuss more on our development process, giving you a clearer picture of how we prioritize and work on new content, bug fixes, and feedback-driven changes.
As a live-service title, Hunt requires a detailed roadmap that takes into account lead times of 6 to 9 months for most major features and Events. When it comes to planning and rolling out new content, the process isn’t about decision making week-to-week, but rather setting larger course adjustments based on your feedback and our long-term goals for the game.
It’s important to note that every new feature, balance change, or content update has undergone extensive planning and development before it reaches you. This means that when you see large updates or new content, they’ve likely been in motion for months, built from a foundation of feedback, data analysis, and internal discussions.
As we move towards the new year, we are pivoting heavily towards bug fixes, UI, and quality-... Read more

@HuntShowdownOfficial what do you consider a gameplay session?

A gameplay session would refer to the time you play Hunt from opening the game, to closing it! It could be one, or 10 games within 1 session.

Hello, Hunters,
Performance is an evergreen focus for our development teams, and today we’re sharing some of the latest improvements we’ve been working on to ensure smooth, stable, and consistent gameplay across all platforms. We have tons of changes coming in Update 2.2 later this year, but here is a breakdown of some key updates that can give you a clear view of our ongoing efforts towards optimization.
VRAM Usage Optimization One of the most common issues we tackled on PC was related to VRAM usage. With this fix, VRAM management has been improved. This should improve the overall experience for players, particularly those who spent extended periods in the game and occasionally ran into VRAM overload across multiple rounds which caused a performance decrease. Rarely could a single gameplay session cause this issue as well.
Stability Enhancements for Extended Play On the topic of extended gameplay sessions, we received some reports of intermittent stalling and have targeted the most ... Read more

Thanks! I ll make sure to pass this on to the team!

This is what we need! Thank you <3

Thank you for your support! We’ll do our best to keep improving moving forward.

Looks like that door really knocked you out! 😉 Just a reminder that doors can be blown or shot open, and yes, the force can pack enough punch to down a Hunter if you’re in the way. Doors can be deadly too!

Black Coat will always be my favorite (until the next release, of course! 😄), but his swagger is truly unmatched

We miss it too! With the engine update complete, both Lawson Delta and DeSalle are now undergoing reworks to improve quality. They’ll be gradually reintroduced to the game one by one with major updates.

Edit: Crytek responded to this post in a comment response to this one. - It's not a crossover or collaboration and is an original design!

Original Comment: I hope I'm wrong... but my guess would be a Predator franchise crossover. Considering the wording of the skull taker and the most recent predator film (Prey - 2022) was set in the old western times. It's not out of the realms of possibility.

I'd personally much rather a new unique hunter that is loosly inspired by the crocodile hunter Steve Irwin if Crytek are sticking with the crocodile theme for the skins.

The Taker of Trophies DLC will stand on its own, and does not feature any IP crossover or collaboration. It features the fierce Skull Taker, driven by primal pride.
