The core gamplay is just too slow but idk what they can do to fix that.

Watch the next devstream! :)

General UpdatesBUG FIXES

  • Fix for crashes.***Developer Note:***With this update we are applying a hotfix which should fix the most frequent reported crashes you have been experiencing. Unfortunately, these crashes are very rare in our testing environment and therefore we cannot be 100% certain yet until we see the results on the live environment. We appreciate your help and cooperation following the instrumented version we implemented during last update, which helped us in narrowing down the cause of the problem.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some assets/textures to not render during missions (invisible walls, stairs, roofs).
  • Fixed a bug that caused concertinas to stream-in very late.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the controller sensitivity (max value) to be too low.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Audio may crackle sometimes.
  • Performance drop when entering/exiting dark sight.
  • Black/Red flash before entering Death Screen.
  • Tutorial hints keep showing unless they are disabled in the options menu.

I don’t have a source for you, but maybe /u/NylesBlack would be willing to confirm that I heard once that the LeMat shotgun is Rival(?) Handcannon equivalent?

That is correct. It’s like one shot from the Rival handcannon. Not bad for the second mode of a small slot, 9-shot revolver.

Update 1.3

HIGHLIGHTS

Crossplay

The long-awaited Crossplay function between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is here! You can now find partners using both consoles when looking for Random partner(s). Currently invites only work for players using their own platforms.

(Teaming up with a player using the same console shows the corresponding platform's icon, while grouping with a player using the other platform shows a controller icon.)

New AI Variations

We have added two new AI variations to the game. You will now find the Grunt Doctor, who deals poison damage and drops a medical kit after being killed, and the Concertina Armored, covered in concertina wires causing bleeding damage, wandering in the swamps.

New Time of Day: Sunset

The Sun has set in the Bayou, a new time of day is here! You can now explore the swamps in brand new lighting. Depending on how you move through the Bayou, you can use the sun to gain an advantage over your enemies in a fight.

any other quirky things you can do this way?

Not yet. :)

Yeah, the stats say only 85 damage (non compact Version = 185) but i don't really feel that in very close combat...

It’s 85 damage at 10m, if you look at the tooltip. At that distance some damage will have worn off. And with shotguns firing multiple pellets it’s anyways just a rough value. Up close (<5m), damage is pretty lethal like with all other shotguns and the LeMat. 185 for the regular Specter 1882 with its long barrel just means it’s highly likely to kill you in one hit at 10+ meters – maybe 12-13m in the end.

Specter 1882 Compact is a highly underrated sidearm. One of my personal favorites alongside any main long rifle. :)

My sincere condolences!

This is seriously amazing! Could you reach out to me?

I would love to share your video on the Hunt channels!

As an example, when looking at the Romero 77 Handcannon is the correct way to think about it that the 140 damage is divided among x pellets? Or does each pellet deal 140 damage?

Thanks for being active on Reddit. Appreciate the response if you have time.

The 140dmg is an expected average of total damage accumulated by all pellets hitting at the mentioned 10m distance. So you could be lucky to score a bit more or less in this case, but it gives you a rough estimation of the punch at that range.

Shotguns fire a number of pellets, each with a certain amount of damage. As they travel, they lose more and more power until they strike a target. Each pellet is calculated separately with the damage varying bases on body part, but all pellets striking at the same time are combined to one damage event with the sum of their damage added up together.

That's what one week of mandatory home office will do to you! :)

Client version: v1.2.1.371

GENERAL CHANGES

Control Improvements

  • Reduced perceivable delay after in-game camera rotation and character movement (Input Lag).

Developer note:

With our latest fixes to input lag, we've shaved off the most outstanding delays Hunt had between player input and on-screen responses. When you try out the new update you should definitely feel like aiming is more responsive, as we are now ensuring that input is processed in the same frame it is read by our systems.

This is not to say all delay has been eliminated, some will still remain, both in hardware latency from your controller to the console, but also on our end due to the way the rendering pipeline is built. We are still investigating ways to further improve on this end, but be advised that any improvements to be made will take a much longer time to materialize. However, we are confident that the changes we've done now will already present a world of difference in the quality of your experience,...

We are aware and working hard on some aiming adjustments for the first update along with the input lag fixes!

Hang in there! :)

We are working very hard on it, and hopefully have some more details to share soon! :)

Contrary to popular belief, this was not me! :)

Are y'all thinking of adding a trait to help out iron sights like how you planning on adding akimbo later down the line or is iron sights away trait just off the menu?

We reduced sway quite a bit as we went to the 1.0 version last year and have received quite a bit of criticism about doing that from the veteran community. In their view, it has shortened gunfights and prolonged engagements were less likely to occur.

While we still think it was important to reduce sway somewhat to help newer players (Hunt still has more sway than other games to be fair!) we don't really want to reduce sway further - neither systemically nor by adding traits that reduce sway for basic (non-scoped) weapons. As such, I think it's fair to say that a Trait that would boost iron sights beyond what is happening with Iron Sharpshooter, Iron Repeater and Iron Devastator is unlikely at this point, sorry.

Could you guys please work on the optimization so people dont have to pay 10k for a computer that can run this game? Thank you 🙂

Not sure how this is related to this reddit thread, but you can always approach our customer support with your system specs and particular issues you are having and I am sure they can help you optimize this further, but I think I am not leaning myself too much out of the window that Hunt runs well on most machines these days. There have been a lot of optimization passes for the game and it is an ongoing process for our engineering team.

If you can run any other recent game, Hunt should be no problem for you - and I am safe to say probably looks just as good if not better than most of them for the same performance cost. :)

For example, I am personally having a constant 80-90fps at home on highest settings at 1080p on a I7 5820K with a 1080 GTX, which is a 4+ years old machine I got back in 2016.

What system are you running the game on?
