The Hearthstone Esports team has decided to push Masters Tour: Voyage to the Sunken City back one week to now take place April 28 - May 1. With 135 new cards, Colossal and Dredge keywords, and the addition of the brand new Naga minion-type, we want to ensure that all 400 competitors have enough time to explore Voyage to the Sunken City after it launches on April 12.

This change also means that we will be rescheduling the final weekend of Masters Tour 4 Qualifiers, with them now taking place a week earlier April 21 - April 24. You can register for Qualifiers taking place throughout April on Battlefy!

For any Masters Tour: Voyage to the Sunken City competitors that will not be able to compete due to the date change, we will be offering an invite to one of the remaining Masters Tours of 2022. Formal invites will be going out soon which will include information for affected players.

In a Tavern-defining tournament, BeNice has earned $10,000 (USD) and been crowned the first Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends champion!

Utilizing Hearthstone Esports’ newest “Check” format, which requires players to earn a minimum of 20 points and then secure a 1st place finish in order to win the whole event, BeNice’s victory has set the standard for Lobby Legends tournaments. After four games, he was the only player to earn enough points to put the lobby into check, and it only took one more game–and masterful use of Amalgadons–for him to get another top placement to secure his victory.

While BeNice proved himself as one of the top Battlegrounds players in the world, the entire 16-player pool this weekend showed impressive levels of strategy. The Day 1 and Day 2 broadcasts, hosted by the incomparable Jia and Alyssa “Slysssa” Ritter (on Twitter) with top-tier board switching from Sottle, can be watched on the Hearthstone Esports YouTube page.

At the end of this month, 16 of the top eligible Ladder competitors from Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe will earn invites to a 48-player qualifying tournament held off-broadcast on April 30. From there, the top 12 players will join four from China to compete for their share of the $50,000 (USD) prize pool on YouTube and Twitch!

Competitors will be able to co-stream their matches during each Lobby Legends event, but we’d love for more members of the community to get involved. Following the epic conclusion to Masters Tour Onyxia’s Lair, Hearthstone Esports is wasting no time keeping the 2022 competitions rolling, with the first season of Grandmasters beginning this Friday! As we announced last December, this is going to be the final regular-season of Grandmasters to see 48 of the top players from Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe battling to be the best in their respective regions and advance to the 2022 World Championship.

This season features three individual weekend tournaments, with players earning points to advance to the playoffs. Competing across Conquest, Last Hero Standing, and the brand-new Trio format, players are fighting for their share of the season’s $250,000 (USD) prize pool and regional invites to the 2022 World Championship. Now we are in business! Hearthstone Esports’ first Battlegrounds event of the year, Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders, is coming to YouTube and Twitch on April 2-3. Prepare yourselves as 16 Battlegrounds players from around the world face off for their share of the $50,000 (USD) prize pool!

To qualify for Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders, eligible players will need to reach the top of their respective regional ladders by the end of February.
